Herrera is one of the most underrated post Fergie players, he would get into our team now easily

It’s the opposite - he was actually severely overrated by the fan base. I loved the guy for his passion and love of the club, but if you analyse with your head and not your heart, he was an average midfielder.

@@sijones501Subjective so accept your opinion but I agree with the original comment. Herrera, playing in a more coherent and settled team would have been excellent. Definitely one of my favourite players post Ferguson and, as the man says, a fit 25 year old Herrera would walk into our team this season. That said, I do agree that we never really got the best out of him. I remember when we played against him when he was at Bilbao and he just bossed the midfield. Didn’t see enough of that. But I’m less sure if it was Herrera’s fault ~ he was often asked to perform a different, more combative role at United which, to his credit, he did without question. Either way, top pro. Should never have let him go.

Before I even watch this. Fellani has to be in the team. He was never a Man United style player but he produced a good level for his style of football. He was effective when used to his strengths. Considering how many players have under performed, I think Fellani produced more than most.
