Not only do they still have the anniversary version but they have it in stock 60 miles from my house and that puts the total cost below $500. Way under. Oh cool! I actually have an old 10" saw blade that I could use to make a clock. I didn't want to throw it away. I've been wondering what I could do with it. I even thought I could use it out on the fire pit for a miniature grill for hamburgers or grill cheese sandwiches. Are you hungry yet? Hey, thanks for sharing this video.

Clock looks good. I'm probably not the first to suggest rare earth magnets. They are relatively inexpensive and mush stronger than other types of magnets. You may also be able to get them from your local computer geek. I pull them out of old hard disk drives.

Oh, good advice. I have noticed this blade that came in the saw is having trouble getting the sawdust out of the cut. Heck, I didn't even know they made a 4 tpi blade. Where do you buy your blades? If you don't mind I have one more question, I have some hardwood that I want to rip for picture frames, it's probably 1-1/2" thick, I don't even know what this wood is but it's light colored and really heavy and dense. What blade would you use for a 1-1/2" cut in hardwood? Thanks Jay
@JayBates
@JayBates 10 жыл бұрын
wider blades for straighter cuts. Thinner blades for curves. The general rule is no more than 20 teeth in the wood at a time or you will get a lot of burning as the dust is not ejected efficiently. I keep my 4tpi blade in for all the cutting I do. It does leave a not-so-clean cut on thinner stock though. I bought some BOSCH blades from Lowes and they cut like they are sharper than the stock blade but cut like crap compared to my woodcraft blade.
@39knights
@39knights 10 жыл бұрын
Might have been too strong; but some neodymium (rare-earth) magnets are perhaps 10X stronger than the ones you used. With these you could have used much smaller magnets with greater holding force to achieve your hidden effect. Old scrapped hard-drives are a great source for them; as well as ebay.
