You have completely inspired me to make an air compressor cart. I didn't even know I needed one until I saw this. My 6 gallon pancake compressor will have a place off the floor and off my bench, casters, and hose/tool storage too. ==== Update: Cart completed! It is fantastic! I got some heavy duty casters from Harbor Freight, with two fixed in the rear, two swivel in front. I also made a large diameter hose holder on the rear of the cart. Now when I need my nail gun(s), I don't have to spool out the 40' hose. I merely roll the cart to where I need it and spool out a little bit of hose. The upper shelf is large enough to hold the Porter Cable nail gun kit bag, so everything is right where I need it, when I need it. Thanks for the great project idea!

Great idea. I was just dragging my compressor around today, uncoiling the hose and extension cord and taking out the nail gun. And then having to put everything back again. The cart is convenient and great time saver, while keeping everything organized. Love it.

Even though I will probably never build many of the things you make I still love watching your videos and have learned lots of little tips and tricks that will help me with the things that I do build. I agree with April. For a one man show your video production and quality is right up there with the best even though the show isn't really about video production or the quality there off. Your projects are awesome and most of the time outside the box. I see a lot of woodworking videos these days where people just copy each other some weeks.but 99% of the time you have a fresh approach. I have no idea how you managed to cut so straight with the jigsaw...kudos... PS) My wife says your videos are charming. I think now would be a good time for me to have a little chat with her lol... Keep up the good work...

I watch a lot of your videos and like them but I wanted to take a quick moment to say thank you for putting on the safety glasses when using the table saw on your videos . I watch many other video producers on you tube and time and again they use little to no safety , I just want to see people showing the idea of safety especially for the eyes . Good video and I wish I could give a extra thumbs up just for the safety glasses .

Nice video, again! Thanks Jay for your channel! I'am not so into power tools thou. But because your videos are so well done, and you also have the most positive vibe, I've been subscriber for a time. You rock! You have great videos, but, if you don't mind a opinion, maybe they were more catching if you'd were to shoot the final product first and then to show how to build one. That's just a tip for yours to consider. Yours: Martti, from EU,Finland (were there is no summer this "summer" :( )

Very nice! Perhaps larger wheels on the back would make it easier to maneuver over obstacles? Thinking lawnmower-size wheels could be handy for wheeling a compressor outside to do exterior home repairs, to relocate it from house to workshop, or simple to get it down a few steps.

One thing I've noticed, not only in this video, but others also, are the times that you use a jig saw to cut a straight line instead of a skill saw. Always amazes me a bit. I guess because I never think of using a jig saw unless I'm cutting some curve/circle/whatever. Anyway, great vid, as always.
@JayBates
@JayBates 10 жыл бұрын
A decent jigsaw with a good blade will make you change your mind on a jigsaw. I used to avoid mine like the plague and decided to get a decent one. Boy what a difference. Also, these lines didn't need to be 100% perfect. I'm a lot worse with a circular saw.
@Ren3231

Nice job and lovley music! Please make sure not to burn down your shop. Working with wood and steel in the same enviroment is generally a bad idea. Sparks can travel a long way (more than 10 meters) and steel gets really hot when welded or even cut, hot enough to light a fire in wood without a flame. Best regards, a woodworking welder in Sweden.
@JayBates
@JayBates 10 жыл бұрын
Hey Tomas. I use my wood assembly table as a welding surface frequently and have never had a problem. It takes a while for hot metal to actually catch wood on fire in my experience. At any rate, I do have 2 fire extinguishers in the shop. Thanks for watching Tomas.
