This is a really simple and quick staff for your laser levelling jobs, it takes a few minutes to make and you can attach your laser receiver to it and get those levels perfect, you can use it for levelling beneath the ground level and this is especially useful when doing foundations or excavations
Try it today!!

Great tip Robin. I know someone who tried to build something similar. He looked all over for someone to give him a hand, but eventually didn't bother. He concluded that he just couldn't get the staff.

The bloke who taught me concreting called it an 'Oggy stick', the guy that held it was called the 'Oggy'. This was pre-laser technology. He stood on the theodolite and gestured from a distance. Or swore.

Very, very special video to add to your channel. You have an easy, natural way to explain complicated concepts. And as usual ... the production and graphics show you really love doing this channel and eager to see where it goes.

Speaking as a bricklayer, it's always reassuring to build off of foundations that have been poured under the supervision of a time-served carpenter. I even favour smaller jobs where the chippy has done the foundations instead of bigger jobs where the footings have been poured by a large groundwork subcontractor.

Thats really interesting Lawrence, so many people don't appreciate how hard it is for a brickie if the foundation is out of level and at a bad height for gauge!!!!

@@ukconstruction Thanks Robin, the fact that a Chippie knows what gauge is warms the cockles of this old bricklayers heart.

Hi Robin, Thanks for the really useful tip. Could you give us the details of the receiver unit. I already have that Lecia laser unit but it just has the standard red piece of plastic target your one look/ sounds a much better option. Thanks

Is that a universal laser receiver or is it with the laser level? If universal, what brand is it as wouldn't mind getting one for my up and coming work. Cheers. 👌
@ukconstruction
@ukconstruction 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich this is a universal receiver by PLS , there are plenty out there but stick to a decent brand and make sure its the right one, Red or green etc
@thetessellater9163
@thetessellater9163 3 жыл бұрын
Instead of a laser receiver like that, you can use your front facing phone camera. Move it up or down, keeping it vertical, it will show when you've hit the laser ! Magic !
