This custom, one of the kind Steel, Bronze and Glass table is a collaboration project between Inspire To Make, MNR Fabrication and Designer George Bosnas.
2019 is not only the 100th birthday of Bauhaus but also for Destijl movement. Also known as neoplasticism, was an art movement that started in Netherlands and inspired and still inspires many creators. One of the greatest samples of Destijl is the very famous Mondrian paintings that was based on the simplicity of form and use of 3 basic colours.
Industrial Designer George Bosnas was inspired by that theory and created Piet table. A minimal yet modern table, with removal technic on geometry, using basic materials. A wireframe of a table decorated with its own surfaces.
Comes in variety of colours and combinations.
Table Design by George Bosnas
George Bosnas was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1985.
He studied furniture design and material technologies in the University of Thessalia, Greece and obtained his degree with distinction and excellence in 2008. He continued his studies in Scuola Politecnica SPD, Milan with a master course in industrial design in 2010. After his returning to his homeland, he started his working career in the production section. Ever since,he has been collaborating with European agencies.
His work focuses on furniture and industrial design. Working for international brands and cooperating with other designers and small startups has been the core of his up until now working career. Inspired by graphic design, geometry and colors he expresses his own contemporary style. In 2014, he became a professor in Akto College, teaching industrial design courses. His work has been featured in design magazines, blogs and he has participated in some of the most important exhibitions such as ‘’100%DesignLondon’’, ‘’Salone Del Mobile’’ and ‘’Maison&Object’’.
In 2017 he won the Grand Prix Hirosaki Award and has set his personal future goals even higher.

4'x8' 1/2" HD tempered glass with custom polished bezel ~ $3000 184' 1" 1018 steel square bar ~$1800 3'x8' 1/16" sheet of brass ~$1000 labor and small items cost (welding supplies stains etc.) ~$1000 At $10,000 that's only 32% markup, considering most furniture sells at 300%-400% markup with a minimum "sale price" of 50% markup, $10,000 for this table is actually pretty damn good. Hell you could cut my cost estimate in half and $10,000 would still be a reasonable price for this table.

I run a metal fab shop and thats not a bad price for a custom designed table that would be a min cost of $7,600 to build .of course if you built this at home in your spare time you could easily save $3,000 on it .I'm sure the client would want to approve the drawings before the fabrication . Nice job looks killer👌 Shop drawings / design $600 10 lengths square bar $300 Glass $3000 Brass/ stain $1000 Labour 32 Hrs $ 2400 Transport $300

Anyone can weld, but metal finishing is a different ball game. Alot of people who have been in the trade for year's struggle and do not even know how to use a grinder properly. Every weld needs to be dead flat,corners and radius need to match the profile of the steel.if you dig in too much it shows up in the paint.for a table that has been designed,drawn,fabricated,stainedand finished off with a fancy glass top is worth a easy $10,000 + im sure you could make it at home and save $$$ but fabed in a shop good luck .best you stick to welding

@MatthewSmith-if5wp
@MatthewSmith-if5wp 4 жыл бұрын
A piece of furniture is only worth what people are willing to pay. Those who complain about the price don't realize the amount of hours a designer puts in from start to finish. From rough sketches, to shop drawings, to assembling cut list, to the actual construction, and the finish. Some live for that high price tag. Well done man. Pure craftsmanship.

But Hey that's just my 20years looking for something to bitch about, good work tho and about the comments that it isn't worth 10k well it's fckd some people only want it so they can brag to their "friend's" that you can't ever own this and it cost me 10k.
