That was a good vid Jim. I really enjoyed the scenery on this one, and I caught myself thinking I’d like to see it first hand. Thanks for showing the polesaw. I know we spoke about making it in bamboo in the past but with the solid branch it was better as that is what most people would have to work with. Great job. Thank you.

It only took a few minutes and you were right, it made the saw even easier to use. Thank goodness you designed a saw that will cut with the grain!

Now, this is what it is all about. A wonderful hike, beautiful views, and a connection with your environment! I was having dinner with my friends and neighbors next door while still in the planning stages of testing early retirement in the Philippines. My friend Tom recounted an opportunity he did not take many years earlier and still regrets it. His advice to me was: "If you don't go, you won't know." After twelve years of early retirement and more adventure opportunities than I have time to participate in, my friend Tom was absolutely correct.

Very cool video, epic scenery with the waterfall. Nicely done, extending the Woodsman! I’ve been busy with my gal’s promotion and relocation this past couple of weeks. It’ll be a bit before I get back to the woodsman. I miss using it already.

Really good to see somewhere different. Those waterfalls are awesome. Kevin had told me about using the saw that way, but great to actually see it in use and hear your thoughts. Further testament to the amazing design. Stay safe, God bless.

Thanks bud, glad you liked it! Kevin said that next time I need to film sliding down the hill, I'm pretty sure that won't go well lol. The extended handle on the saw is good enough that if I was in one place for a bit, I would definitely make one.

Hi Jim, I was talking to Kevin about the saw on the FLKT. I was saying that I don’t plan to practice a lot with it in order to keep it functional and sharp for the time I would really need it. He told me that after your extensive use of it, you still find it as sharp as when you received it. Videos like this one certainly make me want to run get my knife and start sawing. So, I would like to know if you did anything to maintain the edge and sharpness. Unfortunately, I am having some problems with my sciatica and I will not be able to put the FLKT to test but I am already impressed by it. I knew from the videos that I would like the design but it’s only in hand that you can appreciate the quality of the convex grind and the comfort of the handle. Now, even if I can’t go into the woods, I will not hesitate to test the saw around my house if you confirm that it stays functional even after hours and hours of use. I just want to add that I also received the Shirley and used it to carve a bit and to do feather sticks. I have used other trackers to make feather sticks but this grind is far superior to the others. The tooth that forms the 1/4 round is, in my opinion, unique: it bites and slices at the same time. It’s rapidly becoming my favourite edc knife.

Hi Bob! After over a year of use I can't tell any different in the edge on the saw teeth, all I've do is kept them oiled. I will send some prayers your direction for a speedy recovery, getting hurt sucks. The Shirley is definitely one of the most efficient curl makers I have ever used, it's been my EDC since I got it. You're spot on about Kevin's convex grind, best I've ever seen!

So beautiful! That’s funny, you’ll be exploring the woods, chillin out, doing your thing then all the sudden, “de donde carajos salio este gringo?” 😂 also, would it be safe to say CR is in a drought? I’ve heard that Panama is, and it seemed like the vegetation had that drier, not as vibrant look to it. Anywho, thanks for the vid! I always look forward to watching em! God bless ya Jim! And have a blessed and Merry Christmas! 🎄
