Describes the initial stages of making 1 gallon of dragon fruit wine.
Ingredients:
6 pounds ripe Dragon Fruit
1 gallon clean filtered water
4 cups sugar (modifies 2\17\24)
1/2 teaspoon Bread Yeast
1/2 Teaspoon Wine Yeast (Bread Yeast if that's all ya got)
1/4 lemon
During the first 3 days give your musk a good stir, and to break up the fruit cap that will form if you are not using straining bags. Rack into secondary after 5 - 7 days, and continue to rack every 8 - 12 weeks until clear. Degas, back sweeten, bottle let age for at least 12 months total frpm start to finish.

I did a dragonfruit wine near the end of last year and it turned out great! It actually the first time I tasted real dragon fruit. I used a frozen organic brand which I can't recall at the moment. It saved me from having to boil my fruit to kill the natural yeast, plus I can store it longer. Great video and recipe. I too stay away from the chemicals when possible.

Dragon fruit is good but not a super strong flavor. And like you said, they are expensive here in the states. They make a fine wine but for a much lower cost you can make a comparable wine. Great video though. You did get a glod price on them. They are usually 5 to 6 bucks a piece where i live. Lol

It is very hard to capture the taste of dragon fruit for making beverages or wine because it lacks a distinct flavor and has very little odor when tasted raw. Love your channel from Mizoram, India.

Charles, can I ask question? IS their a reason that you don't care for dries? While I love your process but all back sweetened just make desert wines? If so what food would you pair with it. Signed a person that white wines make ill with sugar sensitivity.
