We are back from Durban, We got a bunch of green bananas and my son requested that we make sour banana curry, with imlee.
Ingredients
1 kg bananas (about 8 or 9)
1/2 tsp hurdee (tumeric) to soak cut banana in
1/2 onion sliced
2 med tomatoes chopped
A handful of curry leaves
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 tbs mixed masala
1 tsp hurdee (tumeric)
1 tsp rough salt
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 cup oil
1 tbs brown imlee paste (tamarind) dissolved in 1/2 cup water
Serve with roti or rice and pickles on the side.
