The way the the art shows is awesome because how Morikawa drew them. Manga art is so good and now hearing Max reading and giving some extra commentary makes this even better. Manga-nouchi is a thing for sure!

I know its difficult, but I really wish that you'd read the manga version of the fight. Some key moments cut out here are: 1. Itagaki jabbing Saeki in the right arm as they are going to the corner between rounds 1 and 2, as a "yeah I know you were holding back, notbusing your right" 2. Shinoda, Itagaki's principle trainer being the first to critisize Itagaki's decision to not either move into an infight or back away when Saeki was dominating him in round 2. 3. Takamura's full commentary to Ippo on why Saeki was dominating Itagaki so much. Since we follow Ippo so often, getting commentary for how outboxers fight each other is so damn interesting. 4. Shinoda pointing out that Saeki is delibrately targetting flicker jabs at Itagaki's right eye to swell it up and create a visual blind spot for him. 5. Itagaki commenting that he can mentally visualise the entire ring as if looking at it from above. Something Kamogawa recalls as something Miyata Snr once told him when he had a particularly good match. Really want to see you continue this.

That was surprisingly entertaining! I've never seen a manga reaction before but it was more intense than I was expecting lol. If you're gonna react to manga fights, then I must recommend Mashiba vs. Sawamura.

Dude, check out Ippo vs Alfredo Gonzalez. It is easily one of the most hellacious, bloody, visceral, intense fights in the whole manga.

Just an advice though, you should read ir in order so you can follow the progress of each character. just before this fight we kind of see the start of this New power of Itagaki (if I remember correctly). Besides this montages, or compilations (I don't know their name) skips a lot of importants parts of the manga, like the opinions of the public, meaning, Takamura, Ippo, etc. And the advices of the seconds to the boxers, it's Shinoda the one who gets Itagaki out of his head, and at the end of round one Itagaki touches Saeki's right arm, to let him know that he noticed that he didn't use it during the round. Hope you get to see read this, man. I enjoy a lot your videos, and keep the good work. Pd: Sorry for my grammar and My manners, I'm not trying to tell you what to do, just an advice, I'm trying to be as polite as possible, I'm just not a native speaker.

Ooh so excited you're starting this, can't wait for you to reach the Mashiba/Sawamura match. This is probably the best Itagaki match but it's not my favourite, Itagaki/Imai 2 is my favourite. I'd also recommend checking out the previous match in this tournament, Itagaki/Karasawa, the whole tournament is made up of speedsters and it's neat to see how a speedster not on Itagaki's level changes up his game plan to deal with that
