Nice to see someone still teaching these concepts. I learned using a mishmash of ideas and am still a very average golfer. But I taught a friend who had no previous experience of golf this method and she has a much better swing than I have!

Great job, I like your "club connected to the spine" thought. I liked MDT's teachings but struggled to reconcile his "both hands" moving the club back vs his saying that "everything" moves at once to start the swing. I like your explanation better. Now if you could only move your golf course to Rhode Island, I could sign up for lessons!

Great video Thanks for all your video about MDT method. How can you feel the arms at the start of the downswing and not the hands . Which grip can you recommend for someone used to play a lot with hands to avoid them and let the club swing . Have you got a trick to avoid the disconnection between arms and body. Last question how to finish do you voluntary send the arms until the end of the swing or it is a consequence. When can you expect to see you in France ? Do you give online lessons ? Thanks a lot Olivier

Hi there.... Thank you so much for your comment and your questions.... First of all.... I believe the golf swing is a backward and forward motion not a backswing and downswing. So propelling my arms forward is much easier to think about than it is to swing my arms down. Does that make sense? Secondly I strongly recommend the overlap or vardon grip as the most neutral of grips for adults.... That or the ten finger grip are the only two groups I really prefer to teach. I would love to teach in France someday.... Who am I kidding.... I would love to go to France someday😃 If you would like to send me a video of your swing.... I would be happy to look at it for you.... Make sure you get an angle from down the target line in other words behind you.... And facing you directly.... Thanks so much

I've been struggling with Manuel's concept f swinging the club head over the shoulder but your explanation make sense to me. Can you open a school in England please.

Thanks so much for your insight. Love Manuel's teaching concept. I've shot my lowest scores following him. One question I have always wondered about: When you throw a ball for any distance (say from the outfield to home plate) the weight shift forward and the pushing off from the back leg take place before the throwing arm moves forward. That weight shift takes place while the throwing arm is going backwards! I seem to be able to swing with my arms (shooting in the 70's from the senior tees), but I have to over club every shot to make up for the lack of power. When I allow my weight to shift forward first on the downswing, I can get much more distance. But this often leads to a "slide" into the ball rather than a turn. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi there, thanks so much for your comment and your question. If you think of it more of a coil like a spring coiling.... Instead of a shift in weight. I have a video from a couple months back when I was in my backyard during quarantine that might help understand this better. If I can do anything to help in the future, please don't hesitate to ask

Do you have check points to look out for in backswing,e,g.dragging club too much to inside.S/J.

Waouhhh....juste à little problem for me (maybe i am not alone...) how do you feel only the upper arms in the down swing?
@815TeeTimeInc
@815TeeTimeInc 5 жыл бұрын
Do you mean how do I physically feel it? Or how do I conceptually feel it.... Imagine throwing a ball. If you throw a ball in slow motion you will notice that your arm.... The part from your shoulder to your elbow.... Leads in the throwing action. Then your forearm.... The part from your elbow to your wrist follows your arm and then your hand releases.... It is the same thing in the golf swing

@815TeeTimeInc

@@gillesmorbidelli2216 you are correct.... However.... It still applies.... The start of the forward swing is with the arms and everything from that point forward follows in succession

great video, can you elaborate on swing the arms to the target? Since we are standing parallel to the target line, do you swing the arms parallel to the target line or toward the ball target line?
@815TeeTimeInc

Thanks for your question... it's a great one... The reality is... we swing tye club along the target line... not our arms. We swing the club with the arms... so it's the club that swings along the line.... does that make sense? I have some other videos addressing this... check them out.... 😃

So, on the backswing are your wrists locked or hinging? Thanks.
@815TeeTimeInc
@815TeeTimeInc 3 жыл бұрын
You're wrists do not take the club back your hands do. Think of it that way and you won't have to worry about what your wrists do in the golf swing

Hello there, thank you so much for your comment and your question. At the time I was at okeeheelee golf course in Lake Worth. I am now teaching at Madison green in Royal Palm Beach Florida and at southwinds golf course in Boca Raton..... There's really no such thing as straightening of your lead arm your left arm if you are right handed, your right arm if you are left handed. Extends across your body therefore look straight, but it is not necessarily straight.
