Marcia had every right, because Kerry undermined her marriage, and she knows if given the opportunity she would have done the same. Succession as a series is all about being at the right place at the right time, and maximizing your leverage to maintain your long term position, which is why Marcia quickly returned home to meet everyone at the door.

I didn't even think about it from that perspective. The last time Roman showed empathy was in season 3 when he did the interview as damage control. Logan rewarded his loyalty by belittling him and calling him a f****t.

Roman couldn't care less about Kerry. I think he intended to scoup out more detailed information regarding Logan's passing considering Kerry was present with Logan during his last hours. It's not like he was asking for her private number for consoling her in her tough times. LOL

Of all the siblings, Roman is probably the most empathetic, he probably inherits that from his dad. It doesn't break my heart at all. Kerry actively and openly undermined Marcia's marriage, and we know she would not have been any more sympathetic to Marcia if the tables were reversed.

A lot of things from the first episode with Roman changed very quickly. Like for instance, he had a wife and kids in the pilot that got obviously scrapped. I think that scene on the baseball diamond in retrospect is a *little* out of character for him as we know him

Logan, who grew up poor, seemed to have a certain respect for "real people" as opposed to stooges, greedy family members, etc. He respected his brother, who couldn't stand him, as well as his bodyguard.

Same with Alan Ruck (Connor), he's amazing.

Kerry had it coming

Roman has made it clear that he is the most emotionally motivated with regards to his immediate family and his father. Despite how toxic they all are, he cares about them- he wants things to go smoothly with them. He wilts and shrinks when they fight. He encourages them to work together and be there for each other. Especially in this season. Being there for Kerry is an extension of that, that care and grief for his dad. Especially because he is watching so many people be phony about his dad, making things up with fake speeches, exaggerating their relationships with him, etc - meanwhile Kerry did have a real relationship with him and is showing an actual emotional reaction.

Because they were both simps for Logan, just in different ways.

Those pills were logan’s. Kerry was in charge of his medications, and the show (through Kendall) made it clear that she was rather negligent with this. Less likely she’s pregnant and more likely she’s gonna reappear again, hopefully getting sued/scapegoated for Logan’s death. I personally think it was fucking hilarious knowing that Marcia definitely overloaded that bag just so it would break when Kerry tried to pick it up. Just rubbing fucking salt in those wounds like the absolute savage ice queen she is.

I’m also curious about the play. Sometimes when Greg’s out of hands, he plays what he can and hopes it lands at a later point. There’s not really anyone else at the wake that can stand him. But two seats, you say? Hmmm some leverage left in the old gal.

He has a conscience and is aware of other peoples emotions, I’m not entirely sure that any of the other siblings do have the capacity to even notice. He just used to cover up all that with a relentless amount of sexual harassment

This scene with him and Kerry might also be a callback to Season 1 with the kid at the baseball game. In the scenario, Roman taunted the kid when he didn’t win the million dollars where as here he’s comforting Kerry who also in a way has lost out on the pipe dream of “winning” money/the good life. I think it shows some growth for his character and how without the influence of his father anymore he can actually be a decent person. Frankly they all would.

And when Logan seemed to dissociate and poured the coffee ☕ on the desk, Roman was genuinely bewildered and concerned for his dad, making sure he was okay. He actually cleaned the up coffee from the desk, probably the first time he ever cleaned anything in his life.

If you read a lot about late/high medieval court life, it's incredibly accurate. There were always legions of incredibly annoying cousins just hanging around with nothing to do and no clear job because their father or grandfather is important. They're usually treated as either attack dogs or punching bags by whichever senior royal they've latched on to.

I'd agree with you, but Roman's comment to Marcia "That was unnecessary, right?" indicates that he is definitely being at least somewhat genuine in his compassion for Kerry.

I think Marcia would not be a threat. Basically everyone including the old guards want the GoJo deal done and cash out. However Kendall may have his own agenda.

Marcia is deadly. If Kendell is smart it would not be wise to pick a fight with his stepmother. She may know things like the waiter for example

Especially if she inherited Logan’s board seats, she’s the essential ally whenever Roman gets fed up with Kendall’s bullshit.

No she's the one mourning Logan. That's the difference between Marcia and Kerry in this scene. Look how quick Marcia was to sell Logan's house for a princely sum, while Kerry weeps over the man she thought she would marry.
