Good looks just get you looked at. Everyone just wants to stare but they won't come over and say hello. A lot of mostly women can be very cruel for no reason. Nice as pie on the phone then they turn 180° when they see you in person. It's sad.

Marilyn was truly a beautiful soul, taken advantage of by men and some women, since her mom spent years in institutions, thus making her an orphan at an early age. Certain actors like Olivier treated her disrespectfully and was jealous of the attention she received on and off the stage. In my opinion, Marilyn had a subtle sense of comedic timing. She will always remain one of my top 5 female actors!! Bless her always.

Her fragility, her empathy for others and her search for a father in each partner she has had transpires from your personality. Her "woman-child" side made her an adorable woman. She perfectly knew how to give Hollywood what Hollywood expected of her; nevertheless unfortunately many have taken advantage of its fragility and generosity.

That is when she was the real Marilyn. So many of her movies I have watched,not only was her body language speaking to you but THE EYES. Marylin became bigger than her work, that woman was smart talented strong and had to suffer for her dream, which to me seems that she just wanted to be accepted protected and loved. I think she’d be grateful for the modern understanding that she clawed her way thru sexism, abuse, sexual asault, PCOS, miscarriages and the fact that every man she came in contact with projected their sexuality onto her and abused her. I think she’d be very grateful for her life being seen as a strong woman who, in the end, was murdered by the President of the United States. I don’t think Marilyn would care at all about “keeping her Hollywood fame” bc of everything I just mentioned.

She was smart. They suspended her more than once for standing up to them. She was brave. She does look more like Marilyn than Norma but I felt her first and second husbands loved her. She wanted the husband and the family but she wanted the career too and it was hard to balance. Apparently she used to watch movies as a lonely child and dreamed of making it so it must be hard to give up when Joe asked her even if she loved him. She might have been scared to give up that part of her

Thank you for the making of this awesome video. she comes from a devastatingly low-end horrifying background.. yet she had the courage and strives to move on to achieve her dream. the things she had to go through to make up for her incomplete education and overcoming her weaknesses despite the fact that she was born a beautiful person. This aches my heart that her life was so inscure and miserable a lot of the times. The fact that she only received like $500 for regular salary while other smaller roles got paid whole lot more disgusts me.. getting bankrupt even after being famous. Wish her next life in heaven will be compensated for what she wasn't able to live in the past life.

I am not American and was never raised in believing into the American dream. I’ve never watched any one of her movies yet her personality is so captivating. It’s beyond the time she lived. Point is she probably did not want to be a sex symbol thats the role they caster her in. It is a man made image bec many men cant see women as equal humans with brains and respect them for that.

Tears streaming from my eyes also.Arthur Milker was cruel to her i agree on this , and i do believe Joe DiMaggio really lived her alot more , but he went about it the wrong way. She was treated very poorly by the studios and not respected the way she should have been .But she was much smarter than them, as she sucked it up bit the bullet , and did what shehad to do , its called survival. I dont belueve she killed herself .I believe she was murdered as there were dark firces in her life who did this to her as no matter what her problems she loved life she glorified in it she was etheral Her light shone brightly, until dark fircs extinguished it ..She loved life , poetry little animals , and art, and she was very intellgent She was a beautiful soul and all she really wanted was to be loved by someone, for herself And she didnt deserve to die the way she did.All the dark will come to light one day , as God dont like ugly. Arthur Miller, whether you are a fan of his work or not, was not doing himself any favors by coming off as cynical, egocentric, and haughty when it comes to Marilyn Monroe. His behavior and comments were completely uncalled for and unnecessary. Poor Marilyn couldn't catch a break and he decides to be callous.

She had a very sad life. Loved by millions, but no real happiness in her personal life. She was beautiful, terrific comedy timing,, and she under estimated and used by many men. So sad that many actresses had to deal with the casting couch. A beautiful woman that worked in Hello Dolly came into the restaurant that I worked at. Her date a man that could have been her grandfather. She told me that he's helping her career;.So he was using her, by saying he could get her a role in a movie. So glad that because of the "Me too" movement, actresses are speaking out about the casting couch. Marilyn didn't realize how good she was as an actress. The coroner said that she didn't have any drugs in her stomach and there was a needle site on her body. That sounds pretty fishy to me. Also her death notice was late. Giving someone time to go through her possessions to make sure that there wasn't anything suspicious to find.??:??

You've done an amazing job and it's a very interesting documentary, but I'd like to point out that there is no way Marilyn could be named after Jean Harlow, even though her mother did like the actress and Jean inspired Marilyn a lot. Jean was born in 1911, and when Marilyn, or Norma Jeane, was born in 1926, Harlow was only 15. Harlow's career began in 1928-1929. Regardless, Marilyn was an amazing, strong woman whose life was cut short when she had so much more to offer. As for my favorite film of hers, I can easily name several. I love Some Like It Hot, it's my favorite movie of all time, although I'd say that Jack Lemmon is just as much of a star, if not a little more so, his performance is hilarious while Marilyn is ever so charming. I also love Don't Bother to Knock for showing us that Marilyn was capable of playing more serious roles, just like she did in Niagara (not Nicaragua) and, in a way, The Prince and the Showgirl (a script of her choice) as clever and bold Elsie. And the unfinished Something's Got To Give takes a special place on my list because we see Marilyn at the top of her game, having come a long way as an actress and an artist, and yet she died before the film was finished, before she could give us more, show us what she had learned. I'm glad that the other remake of My Favorite Wife, Move Over Darling, was made. Doris Day is so lovely in it, and so funny too! But oh, do I wish we got to see the full version of Something's Got To Give.

I’m half way through this and still no discussion of her very serious addictions?! Sadly Marilyn’s addictions really screwed her up……uppers, downers and alcohol in amounts that would have killed the average person, causing her to cost the studios a fortune, not to mention making her weak and even more vulnerable to wolves….very similar to the Judy Garland saga……Her addictions changed her and I’m sure she wasn’t even aware of just how much of a dangerous line she had crossed….so sad and a waste of a truly talented, beautiful person…….we are very fortunate in this modern world to “stand our ground” in the face of sexual harassment…

One video talked about how celebrities would be prescribed these dangerous drugs and they just trusted their doctors and didn't question them. People of that day were naive to drug addiction. It wasn't a known thing yet.

Her addiction started because she had terrible insomnia, then escalated due to her anxiety & unhappiness with being treated as a dumb blonde, one trick pony when she wanted to be a serious actress. Addiction is often due to trying to numb emotional pain, a very dysfunctional coping strategy.

Personally I’m a fan as I found her to be a brilliant comedic actress & her bond with Ella Fitzgerald & making a huge difference ie the combo club refused Ella Fitzgerald to perform, thanks to MM who said to the combo if you let Ella play I will sit in the front row & u can take photos all night , this was at the height of her fame , Ella Fitzgerald said she was a great friend personally & thanked MM for standing by her

Marilyn Monroe richly deserved anything & everything good that happened to her in her short life. She earned far better treatment than she ever got from the time she was a child until the end of her life. She was a horribly abused person. Psychologically more so than physically abused. However, she was incredibly strong, intelligent & determined. She got even in the end. Her life makes me cry. I feel so glad she became a star. She truly was a star.

I agree with Elia Kazan: Lee Strasberg USED Marilyn for all the money and fame he could get. Strasberg was a FAILED actor and Director, but he had MARILYN MONROE under his thumb. So sad for Marilyn. He DID NOT help her. Not at all. Btw, all of the Marilyn items that everyone has purchased at auction? Well, these things were to go to her friends, according to her will, which was NOT honoured. Instead, they lay in a warehouse in New York and there was SEWAGE damage over the majority of items, and only when the Marilyn resurgence in the 80's happened, were they sold for astronomical amounts. But ya, they were in Lee Strasberg's rented storage unit with WASTE all over them. Awful. The worst betrayal and humiliation. And....................Joe D wanted some of the articles. Not many, but he wanted some. He didn't get them.

Her life was extremely sad 😢 nobody deserves to go through that. Having an absent father is truly awful. I feel for her. Ppl like to say ‘daddy issues’ as if it’s the women’s / girls fault but it’s not. Having an absent father that’s nothing to do with the child it’s to do with that person just not wanting to be there but has a life long effect that will unfortunately affect that child it’s very sad.

I have studied & researched Marilyn my whole life, because of my love & admiration for her & if you look at all the evidence & circumstances of that night, all the people coming & going etc., it becomes quite clear that someone took her life. She made a HUGE MISTAKE when she tried to challenge the Kennedy’s, or I should say threatened them by going public w/ EVERYTHING she knew. She truly thought she had the upper hand & as we all know, she never had a chance. She became a threat & a liability & they decided it was easier to just off her than to have to deal w/ perhaps bribing her & keeping tabs on her 24/7. At this time, she was not a women ready to give up & end it all. She had just been re-hired for “Something’s got to give,” she had just started her OWN production co. & was so excited to be able to do her own projects & show her talents as a “serious actress!” She had lost a bunch of weight & she really felt good about herself & her body for the first time in a long time. She was ready to work & was excited about life & her career. She had plans…& lots of them. If your suicidal, you don’t make plans, for anything. Anyways, I could go on & on but I won’t do that to anyone. LOL Bottom line is, yes, yes she was murdered!

That psychiatrist and housekeeper were very fishy. They also had ambulances coming and going on the night in secret. The coroner's assistant said he spoke up about the inconsistencies in how she died and was threatened
