Over the past 2 days, we collated questions you had for our profiles on Instagram. Here are four most popular questions. Read this thread for their replies! 😇 1. How do you know your partner is the one? 2. How to have good conversations? 3. How to keep your passion/ love alive after many years? 4. Currently seeing someone but unable to progress due to lockdown... any advice?

Hi I'm Jean, sharing my opinion. 1. Is the feeling given by my partner, I will not get sick of facing him 24/7, I will not feel bored with him, I will feel like doing everything with him. I will also travel with him, travelling will have different opinions and tendency of argument will be high. If we are able to accommodate to each other and everything goes smoothly, I'm pretty sure all will go well. 1 last idea is Me and my husband actually stayed together before we get married, this is to make sure that we are able to stay together and able to accept each other's lifestyle habit. 2. We should listen to each other patiently and able to share and accept each other's comment. Most importantly, by the end of the conversation, problem is to be solved, else it will only prolonged the issue or problem might occured again. 3. Always maintain your relationship the same as the beginning of your love to him/her, as that will be the sweetest moment. I can ensure you that your love will last forever, because this is what I did. 4. This will be the best period to know how much you miss or love him/her if you are having doubts on your relationship. If you miss him/her that much, you may use video call to communicate. It might create some romantic moments between you both.

Yangyi Tan myself and my husband will always go dating(enjoying food and go to places that we love, just like normal dating couples), arrange surprises for all special occasions, plan for travel once a year, always say “I love you” to each other all the time and of course with lots of kisses and hugs daily together with attracting moves/acts such as winks 😉 which my hubby loves.

Hi,I am the Old Uncle who wore 2 Watches.I agree with Roszita. You know he or she is the one when absence makes the heart goes fonder. i remembered driving all the way after tough military training in the night from Pasir Laba Camp in Jurong to her place in Opera Estate just to hold her hand and to drive all the way back to Camp before midnight. I have to sing loudly in my car so that I will not fall asleep!

1. Best way to know is how you feel when you're with him. Feel comfortable can be yourself? Feel respected? if he/she quickly want to go into physical intimate relationship then you have to be careful. It's also important to introduce he/she to your family and friends. 旁观者清当局者迷. Your family will give good feedback okay not everyone. For my case my mum was the a very good observer. Those bf that she disliked all did not make it in the end. Lastly attend Marriage Preparation Course bcos many topics that we never thought of was discussed during the session.

As someone who had only had my mother to raise me, I agree on that. He walked out on us when I was very young, I never actually had a father. Of course he tried to be there, but due to some difficulties I don't want to adress further, I can feel that very much. If he had loved my mother, there wouldn't had been that many problems my mother had faced. I'm 34 and at that time, being a single parent was so hard. Of course it's good to love your children, but if you don't love the person you have a child with, for me it's the base to everything that makes it work and, in my opinion, it's harder to love your own child altogether.

Would agree 100% 🙏🏽 When i am really sad, stressed, or angry, I think its easier to text where i can slowly think about what i want to say, and also read it before I send anything XD My bf and I sometimes go to text when we feel that speaking out loud is too hard, and its helped us calm down and understand each other. 3 years in and we have never fought (yes ofc we have discussions if we disagree, but nothing has ever escalated to yelling, name calling, accusations, etc).

I have to say this video really changed me for the better. I honestly didn't expect to watch the whole thing but I did. I'm currently in a rough patch with my wife of 5 years in which I have two children with. I've gotten to the point several times in my head that it's over and that I'm just doing this for the kids at this point and weighing my options if i should stay or not. There are some solid pieces of advice in this video I think all married couples should hear. I didn't realize how jealous and detached from my marriage I was, always comparing my wife to other wives and wondering how much better could it be if I found someone else. While watching this video though, it really did remind me of all the reasons I love my wife and that we really can make this work. Very powerful video, I appreciate everyone involved!

Like God said in the 10 commandments, you cheat once you start to think about other women or fantasize or flirt about them. That cheating ends up in sex. So no, sex isn’t the only step in cheating. Better focus on your wife and children, or else you destroy the family. Focus on your wife, everyone is unique. You chose her as wife, you chose her children. You better be a good father. It’s good you realized your mistakes and admitted to them. That will save your marriage

In short: it’s because the love will never last, what made you fall in love will make you fall out of love, and men, in my opinion, will always eventually start looking at other women. I don’t mean they’d cheat. I just mean the perfect fairytale love we’d grown up to believe is nonexistent. And just like you said, there’s a 50% chance of failure, and I don’t want to risk any heartache. I’m already insecure and troubled enough.

Sukan please don’t come at me with that. Marriage should be every girl’s goal??? Why not a man’s?? Why can’t men aim to be engineers, singers, and doctors and still be married? Is it not the same for girls?? They can be doctors and engineers while being married too. Why is marriage the ultimate goal? Also who cares if people look down on you? If you achieved your goal and are happy with what you’re doing in life, you shouldn’t care.

The 50% divorce rate is being pushed upwards by the boomer generation, whereas the younger generation of millenials is actually reversing the trend, possibly due to avoiding the pitfalls and naiveties of their parents with regards to choosing a partner or to making sure that they are financially stable before committing to marriage. www.businessinsider.com/millennials-declining-divorce-rate-hooking-up-delaying-marriage-2019-5?r=US&IR=T

My advice is: don't worry about boys until you are 25. Take care of your health and enjoy working and cartoons and going in parks and having the most out of life. Never dress to impress or provoke, you are perfect. Be kind and find a good love by accident at least when 25. Every empty love story takes a toll on our soul.

Damn the Malay couple really reminded me of my parents. The husband causing financial problems and the wife being left in the shadow and the feeling of disappointment and anger when she found out about it and how he didn’t tell her. Reminded me of all the times my mom cried and how I blamed my dad for it. Really hit home. Just like the husband my dad has gotten better but we still have a lot of financial difficulties due to his past actions thats been causing a lot of stress for the entire family especially my parents. Now that I’m older I’ll do all I can to help fix our problems. Please pray for a happier future for my family 💪🏻😊

This gave me an insight. My mother, who’s a converted muslim would always tell me to test, to let a man wait for years for me then to give him my “yes.” In today’s generation, love works differently. I have always opposed to my Mother’s words. Reasoning and telling her how different and better love has become compared to before and to traditional beliefs. After watching this, I realized her point of view is just the same as these people in the video. I realized how amazing and caring her advices were. I realized, I shouldn’t oppose to an idea without seeing or considering its point of view. She only wants security for me. A secured and happy marriage and I am thankful to have seen this video.

My mom & dad met each other in HS. My mom was and still is really beautiful. She was raised in a village and since she looked mixed, a lot of guys chased after her. According to my grandparents, they’d get a lot of phone calls to the house asking about her & my grandpa would have to grab a stick and if any guy came over to the house, he’d chase them away and yell at them. A lot of guys would also try to ask her out at school, but she still rejected them all. My dad was the class president and also my mom’s classmate. They eventually became friends for years and after graduating, they started dating. Eventually, my dad went to the UK for a year to complete his bachelor’s. Then when he came back he went to work in SG. I really thought that they would break up, but nah, she still stuck around and waited for him, even when he was working for a while in SG and couldn’t contact her all the time because back then, they didn’t have a lot of money so they got by with what they could. Fast forward, they’ve been married for 25 years and my dad, let me tell you. My dad still treats my mom everyday like she’s his only queen. As for my mom, she still looks at him like he’s the only handsome guy. Like they’ll even hug in public sometimes, or I see my dad putting his arms around my mom’s waist, trying to make her smile and laugh. My siblings and I are currently in the UK for our studies and every week, we’ll get videos of the two of them doing everything together, from cooking to going out for a walk, even sending a video message. The love is so evident in their eyes that I used to be jealous of their love. But now, I’m really grateful because a lot of my friends’s parents are divorced and they tell me it’s shit. That just made me realized how lucky I am to have parents who still love each other every single day no matter the fights, the hard times & even when my siblings and I fight.

Met my wife 2 years ago during my final year poly, when I was attached out to overseas internship in HK. 4 months into the dating and we got married. This coming August is going to be our 2 year marriage anniversary. People would think we married so fast because its a "shotgun" marriage, but we actually have no kids yet, I just graduated last year and enlisted last year and currently still serving NS. People will ask why marry so young, if it isnt a shotgun or I must be rich or she must be rich, and I would just tell people the reason is Love. Me and my wife has an age gap of 5 years, different nationality, and despite all the differences, we are still together after 2 years. Do we fight? Yes , but at the end of the day, I would rather lose the fight, than losing her. And no I don't agree couples fight to understand each other better ideology, I personally think fighting create more problems. Instead of fighting, learn to communicate well, make sacrifices. Remember, love is unconditional , don't let society judge when or who you should fall in love with or eventually end up marrying. Let the reason be love. True love, from within the heart. Unconditional Love. Especially in Singapore, don't assume you have to BTO, have degree and other "qualifications" or "rights" to get married. Heck, you don't even need to host a grand wedding. In the end, it's you and your spouse. Thank you for this video, it really voiced out what unconditional love truly is.

My parents just celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary and my father is in the last stage of cancer and will leave us by the end of this year, so they won't get a 25th silver wedding anniversary next year, he is already paralyzed and lost his speech two years back due to a stroke and my parents love each other a lot. Growing up in a typical South Asian household my father and mother both were very active in both house and work-related matters, I always saw them working together in the kitchen, cleaning the house and going to work and taking care of us. They provided us with a very good lifestyle and always tried their best to form a healthy relationship with us even as teenagers. I do believe the best thing parents can do for their kids is to love each other because we grow up seeing that and enjoying it. Thanks, mama and Papa Life has its own way of taking things from you, we went through hell growing up but our love kept us strong, now that we have financial stability, my father’s love will be missing by the end of the year.

Yes I agree with you. Not to promote divorce, but to celebrate those who willing to get out from abusive marriage and successfully maintain their sanity through the storm.

@@november132 Marriage is not a morally superior thing to divorce. Society will rot worse and young people are corrupted worse when they see bad marriages around them.

As someone who kept failing to find someone who loves me for who I am, this is such a wholesome video. I wish i can find someone like their spouse. it's really hard to find, so if you already found one don't take it for granted.

It took my spouse 25 yrs to understand that he was digging holes with credit cards. Suddenly when he had to take early retirement for health reasons, the light went on. A little late but better than never.

@@tamikaaugustine2313 If you don't have money to buy what you need today, and you put yourself in debt, you won't have it tomorrow either, because you have expenses of living day to day plus the bill on your credit purchases. Check the interest rates on credit cards. When you do the math it comes out to about 30%. Some people actually get loans to pay off their credit cards! More interest to pay. You're paying them to keep you in debt.

That's the reason i will never get credit cards is like spending your future money. You can easily lost track of your spendings. I only have debit cards linked to my bank account so i can easily keep track of my money!
