@GreaterGood510 Yeah "WE" didn't abandon anything, it was over run with a cancer and "WE" couldn't help, especially when "they" keep voting in the same people and expecting different results, see Baltimore et.al.

Actually, a very poor analogy. Typical liberal card where they have to always act like blacks are victims. I'm black by the way, and when I realized that these white liberals were happy to keep me being a victim- that's when I got up and decided to do something with my life. It's not that Detroit became "too black," it's ignorant niggas coming into the city and acting like they need a handout and everything for free, plus unions taking over that forced the whiteys to leave and manufacturing to close. But it's much easier to just blame everything wrong on "racism."

@@WestSide1207 Oh STFU.. both of you. Spare us you babbling bullshit please. You have no idea what you are talking about because you don't even know what VERSION of history to use as a reference about Detroit. And stop trying to tell other people what they have experienced. Just boo.

@@fredricksmith-something.2125 No, you don't know bull. Detroit was the richest city in the world in the 50s, now look at it. An example of liberal policies run amok. Detroit has had a democrat mayor for the past 58 straight years. Look what that's got em.

Poor analogy - Detroit's demise had N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with race, but economics. Blue-Collar America, and its Unions, fell to the hammer of Globalism and cheaper, offshore-made goods and International logistics. The factories died when Corporate elites went in-search of "right-to-work", Union-busting labor pools in the deep South and overseas. The Detroit factories were moved, the old ones abandoned - the workers left-behind.

I don't know why I'm doing this but here goes. After world war other states started to offer better tax rates and less red tape (anti-Union mostly) and as such Detroit lost around 100,000 jobs between the 40s and the 60s. What was left was distributed among the whites and as such a black riot was inevitable. It wasn't just GM, unfortunately. (I'm not black, white or American for that matter, just a history nerd who lives in Detroit. I have no horse in this race.)

“Obsession” is very exaggerated. And France isn’t “abandoning” Marseille whatsoever, quite the contrary. Parisians and investments have been pouring in for the last 20 years since they created the bullet train line.

Detroit "became too black for America to love"... I love Bourdain but he was way off on this, and he allowed the looney tunes left to infest his brain. Go watch Michael Moore's old documentary "Roger and me" about the fall of Detroit. It had nothing to do with race and everything to do with corporate America relocating factories overseas to reduce overhead. He even interviews a dirt poor white woman so poor she raised rabbits in her backyard for food. If you haven't seen the movie I highly recommend it. If you think every bad thing that happens in America is motivated by race I suggest you wake up and start paying attention. There's an entire chunk of desperately poor Americans being left in the dust by this twisted ideology. Go look at Appalachia

But in fact.. These good pizza places are VERY rare.. I never, ever ate worse pizza in my whole life than on the southern coast of France.. They put enourmous amounts on cheese on it. So much, that you get sick from the first bite and that the stuff under it, mostly stays half raw.. If you go to Marseille, better get to a place where you can eat Taboule and stuff like that.. The restaurants with tunisian and morrocan influcences are great.. For pizza, go to Italy.
