I had the opportunity to meet Mr Gaye in person. When I was a child he would give money to the children in my neighborhood. He wrote music with my neighbor. Years later in the 70s I met him again at a Birthday Party in Detroit. Such a charming man. Thank you Mr Gaye for sharing such loving 🎶 Music with Us! goodvibes💫

This is the full song. It sounds cut off because it flows right into Mercy Me which is an entirely different song

Love Marvin, but God is not anyone's friend, of this is what the lyrics are saying. Just way incorrect. Friend is not found one time in the Bible. Read it. You will see most of these so-called gospel artists are off track also. Their music is noise to God, not gospel. Fyi. 🙏🏿 I was not accurate. In the New Testament, the predominant word for friend is philos . A derivative, philia , is often used for friendship. Jesus is described as the “friend of sinners” (Matthew 11:19 ). He called His disciples “friends” (Luke 12:4; John 15:13-15 ). Pray for me.. 🙏🏿
