We will experience together (for the first time) the HUGE festival in the Bukidnon area. The Kaamalan Festival is a wonderful festival and I will walk you around the food huts and show you the Indigenous music performance. This is Malaybalay City an excellent retirement destination.

You did a great job capturing some of this festival, Nathan. Amazing that they let you film on stage. Other than Scott (Regular Guy), have you seen other expats there? And how has the temperature and friendliness of the locals been? Looking forward to seeing more from Malaybalay.

Thanks for the kind words. There aren't many expats here at all but the ones I have met have been top notch guys. We have regular meetings and welcome new arrivals. Small but tight knit community of foreigners thanks to a man named Roger who is a wonderful community leader.

@@expatlifestyle2000 haha 😂. I was talking to a Filipina for about a year but it’s not really working out. I have a friend who is in construction like me he moved here when he was 14 from bocolod so he’s a dual citizen. We are talking about going in partners on building a multi family there to retire. Within a half hour to the city on the beach with our own power source everything included.

@Ryan-wi3ry dang sounds legit. I've rolled around in my head investing in property here but as a foriegner there are some issues for sure. Dual citizenship would be super helpful.

@@expatlifestyle2000 you just gotta find someone you can trust to be a partner with and have Atleast one rental unit and over 75,000 in equities and incorporate. That saves your ass and that persons ass. My outlook is a dude will never divorce you or have you deported because they think you are cheating. Also being part of a corporation gives you a residency visa. I think you only have to renew it every ten years.

After talking with him and several others it is becoming a more attractive option. I think after my European trip I'll get my philippines license and then a scooter. So maybe 6 months from now. 🤣

@@expatlifestyle2000 it'll be my first foray outside of America. My intention is to stay permanently. I'm starting a KZfaq channel to document my experiences. I'm 63, on disability(bad heart) and starting over. I'm gonna die with a girl on my lap and a smile on my face. My friend in Maramag assures me its very possible
