That´s your takeaway? So who do you trust instead? TV and newspapers? You must be kidding.. My take away is almost the opposite: No one is perfect. You have to understand that people are complex creatures. A terrible father can still be a great CEO. A cheating boyfriend can still be a first-class scientist. A scientologist can still be a great actor. And so on. My observation is that virtually every interesting person has at least one crazy take or some character flaws. The only people who don´t have that are literal NPCs: The guys who only say what the 8´o clock news say and always do what society expects them to do and never have any thought or interest by themselves. I am honestly so sick and tired of this expectation that puplic people have to be perfect (whatever that currently means), and if they are not anymore, EVERYTHING the say and do is suddenly wrong. I wish my phobias were all animal-related. My phobias include the knowledge that no matter how hard I try, I'll never live up to my own expectations. Is there a VR game for that? I'd really like to get over this annoyance!
@Frettingfret3 ай бұрын
Here’s a cure for your affliction - you are the greatest thing you can be, the universe experiencing itself through you. The greatest power in you is your ability to let go of the expectations of the world, and love and accept it as it is, yourself included. You can never be greater than what you are now, which is the beauty of this moment and this life. When you realize you already have everything, you can finally let go of what you wish to achieve. That is, not to say that you should not strive to achieve. Only that these are but worldly accomplishments, and the power of who you are lies in your ability to love this moment as it is.

I mean if you’re willing to lie to an intimate partner (allegedly) it seems pretty reasonable to question whether you’re willing to lie to strangers on the internet for your own personal gain. Makes your research seem a lot less credible.
@keys55953 ай бұрын
Yeah this is one thing I disagree with him on. Like yeah his life style shouldn’t take away the work he had done (as long as he isn’t preaching one thing and doing another). But lying is a whole different matter. ESPECIALLY to a significant other. Because it calls into question what other things you’re willing to lie about to people you don’t even know. But I guess these are all just allegations at the end of the day.
