I understand Max's complaints about Dead rising but its complete lack of hand holding plus a timer constantly ticking down was what made it such a good game and is what made the game so fun. I grew up with it and the whacky tone mixed with the actual stress that the game puts on you was amazing. I dont think that max realizes that dead rising is truly one of the first examples of a roguelite. you're NOT supposed to beat the game on your first playthrough thats why when you do fail they specifically let you continue on with all your exp and level ups still intact for future playthroughs. I think if max actually commits to playing the remake when it comes out he'll love it

In Dead Rising, if the NPCs were less annoying and dumb compared to the original version, it would create an entirely new gaming experience.

Dead Rising is a fun game. But if you're a new player, it's definitely one of those games where you basically need all the backseating that you can get to understand the many mechanics of the game to get through it XD It's like a dark souls game tbh, but not as hard if you understand the game

Part of what I think made a lot of people bounce off Dead Rising originally, is that it was secretly a spiritual successor to Majora's Mask. And nobody expected that.

The original dead rising (and 2) was a big part of my childhood, alongside the left for dead games. I was a zombie fanatic then and hope the remake is done justice, or at the very least moddable so it can be perfected.

Dead Rising is defined by bumbling about with a timer hanging over you trying to get things done, explore and dick about. Much like other timer games such as Majoras Mask it is all about experience, the more you learn the more you can sync your objectives with gathering resources and being a master of scheduling. It's the kind of game design that almost demands multiple playthroughs, to really build up a repertoire of knowledge.

I did not expect Dead Rising to come back, especially since the developers of this series shut down, but it’s nice seeing Capcom acknowledging one of their older franchises more then just a collection.

I played Resident Evil 7 in VR on PSVR. It was scary. When I put on the Headset every time and seeing that I was in The House the lines "Welcome back to the world of Survival Horror." ringing in my head. Shortly after I would say "Freak, I'm here in this nightmare again."

I have a feeling that Kamitsu Gami will be the first game in this new golden age of Capcom that is not gonna do super well sales wise. I really thought they were going to announce that "Dead Rising" takes place in the same universe as "Resident Evil", kinda the way "Final Fight" and "Rival Schools" are in the "Street Fighter" universe

As a person who games mostly on the go now because of work, Having an IOS version of these RE games is a godsend. A niche release that fits me perfectly. I have the Switch and IOS on the go now and a gaming lappy for when I am somewhere I can sit down and use it (most Gamepass and Steam sales).

In a world where every single game is hyper streamlined and downright afraid of having the player miss out on content I think we can stand to have at least one single game that fuck with the player a little bit

The OG Dead Rising was good unless you actually planned to rescue the survivors. They were so dumb. They actively ran into mobs of zombies to die and if you ran any more than 10 feet from them they would stop and get lost calling your name until you came back. DR 2 and 3 really fixed that issue.

DR1 is in my top 5 of all time; Such a good game
