Күн бұрынIt may seem I hate my daily driver, but I was just angry after a series of minor problems. This is a Mazda 323F, which is also known as Mazda Lantis or Mazda Astina.
It has been a very reliable and dependable daily driver, but it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Make sure to watch my previous videos with this Mazda a.k.a. Kermit the Frog:

I think your car just like you sad had a pretty hard past. Just care for it and it will last for a long time because these cars are usually pretty reliable.

Hey! Thank you so much for your feed back on the car's quirks :-D This really means a lot to me and I am glad to get this type of interaction! I am totally aware that this type of situation are only due to age and/or lack of maintenance from the previous owner. I like this car a lot and I don't plan to sell it. I may put it on sale if a really good deal shows up for a compact sports car, like a CRX or Starlet 1.3 S, as I live in a town with really narrow streets and lots of obstacles. I want to get a Mercedes-Benz 190E as a long distance cruiser and, if that happens, I won't need to have two "larger" cars. Cheers mate!

My father had a 323 F BA for 20 years and it never had any major problems. He sold it August this year (2016). In it's last 4 years it did have some problems. The first thing that happened was that the mazda logo on the trunk fell off. The next thing that happened was that a valve got clogged and the car started kinda i guess you could call it coughing but he fixed that too. 2 years ago he had to stop using his electric key because if he locked or unlocked the car with the electric key the indicators didn't stop to glow until the light bulb broke. It got so hot that the plastic inside the indicators left and right started to melt. He had that fixed and just decided to stop using the electric key for good. The last thing that happened was that the spoiler on the back just fell off. But beside all these little problems the car never had any big problems and always worked just fine. He sold the car because the family was getting bigger and bigger and the car got too small so he needed a new car. He said if he was able to keep the car he would have kept it and just restored it completely. It was a gret car and i hope you'll keep this one for a long time and have fun with it.

Sadly this kind of car will never be made again... I have one and after 4 years in rally (amators) and over 8 years of owning it, I would buy one if it had 10 years again:) But now it's 21 years old, and still working good.

The glass in the dors has 2 "bumpers" or stoppers on each dor, and if you have patience, you can resolve the glass issues when closing the doors. I also had that plastic broken from the heating radiator and I replaced it with a normal longer hose. The intake air hose I repaired with some silicone and a new rubber part from a Dacia 1310. Anyway this is the best car that mazda ever made from the looks, stability and reliability point of view.

how do you fix the noice it makes when closing the front doors?

@@Robertrobot13 I didn't. It had a specific noise, not like a subaru. In that regard subaru's frameless dors are way better.

I owned an 1800 323F and it was so reliable. I loved it and I still think it looks wonderful.

Damn, that really sucks dude. I knew that with a previous owner like that things like these could happen. Let's hope that nothing else happens to the car.

Thanks as always for your comment! Good thing is that it has all been pretty easy to fix so far, the real problem is all this happening at once, like all the planets aligned or something :-P

No probs dude! :D Yeah, it's like the previous owner knew about it. How many kilometers did you made in it since you bought it?

Actually the previous owner owed money to the guy who sold it to me. The car was very cheap, so I knew it had some flaws. It had 176 000 km on the clock. I made about 4000 km since I got it.

Hmmh that isn't very reassuring. Yeah, that's true. I see, with those kilometers you can expect stuff like this, but as you said, it's weird that all happened so closely.

I didn't mention it in the video, but the battery also went flat the very same week :-P I just didn't mention it, since it was an old battery I had stored for some time. It's one of those streams of bad luck.

The glass, air intake and central locking are common issues. The coolant disaster must of been due to abuse in the past like you said... my car also suffered from the loose glass but i also love my mazda haha

Thank you for that info :-) I just hope that that rust didn't cause any further issues, specially with the air blower radiator. I may replace the glass bushings in the future, but only when I replace the glasses, since they're full of dust scratches.

Just wait until you have to change the sway bar rubbers they are hidden in the most stupid place I have ever seen you can hardly see them let alone work on them its a HIDEOUS JOB !!!!!

you are so right they can be a pain in the ass . my old series 2 rx7 is easy compared to it , but it likes to drink too much fuel !!

I will keep this car for now. Although I want an old UMM Alter. It's an off-roader made in Portugal with the famous 2.5 diesel Peugeot engine and transmission.

I always took windows 8 as a practical joke, and then came windows 10, which was nothing but a scam.

The graphics driver in my parent's desktop never worked properly since windows 10. When I tried to correct it, it was too late to go back to 7.
