Hey guys, in this video we show you how to remove and replace CV Axle Shaft, Drive shaft on Mazda CX-7. We demonstrated how to remove and replace the cx axle drive shaft on 2009 Mazda CX-7 Passenger side with the 2.3 turbo engine. The driver side will be similar to the passenger side with some differences. The 2.2 diesel and the 2.5 engine might be the same but we have not checked.

great vid thnx. i have a question. how can i know for sure it's the cv axle is what's causing the vibration. i know it's not the mount & i know it's not the spark plugs cuz i changed them. the vibration comes when i accelerate. no grease is out to confirm its the axle. could it be the drive shaft?? any suggestion guys will help for sure.

normally with you turn the wheel you will have some grinding sound

What if the passenger axle dosent click in and its about an eight out what can happen? Can it pop out? i just did both by myself but with no help its hard

What type of vehicle, like AWD, 4X4, or FWD, these mazda's came in all types of configurations which can get confusing. I am trying to get one off a FWD, 2007, CX-7, and i need to know the cv joint nut size.

It seems the dealer pn for the cv axles are not cross referencing to after market correctly. 2012 CX 7, front wheel drive w/ 2.5 l engine. Oreilly part numbers and parts are different ones we removed from vehicle. Anyone else had these issues?

What do you mean? Because my issue is that the axle for the drivers side is actually smaller than the one that auto zone and amazon gave me. It's so weird.

I just ran into this today. 2011 Cx7 Bought the 2.3l version off ebay (my car is 2.5) mechanic said he would get the part. told them 2.5 and they sent the same part as what I ordered. Neither would fit and said it needed to be smaller. Did you find a solution? I found a link for 2.5 only but it was $500 and looked the same.

Well I just ran into this problem too but you have to buy it straight from Mazda because the part is discontinued. I’ve tried ordering from multiple places all came with the wrong size boult for both sides. The only other option that I have came up with is finding same exact year and model at a junk yard and having someone remove it, but that comes with risks because it would be a used part.
