This is a 1930(?) originally horse drawn McCormick-Deering Wheat Binder. They were used to cut and bind wheat which was then shocked in the field where it was later picked up and taken by wagon to the Thresher. As technology progressed, the Binder and Thresher were eventually combined into one machine.
This Binder was restored by members of the Hiwassee Valley Antique Tractor and Engine Club in Cleveland Tennessee USA.
