This was another lovely build, and follow ups, thanks! All the fish are gorgeous. The angels and some of the corys are new to me too. I do like how the laser corys bright stripe goes with the substrate so well. I really do like matchy matchy..LOL. I've learned a lot watching your videos, and learned to great benefits of many many plants, that I didn't realize before. I don't have any tanks currently, so am truly enjoying watching and learning from you, for when I do get another tank. I had too many before, and wasn't able to properly take care of them so chose to sell the whole lot. I hope to try again, but on a much less grander scale. ;) At 70, I'm sure I can handle at least one well planted tank! Thanks for all your videos, and knowledge sharing that you do.

Your videos truly have helped me MD, I have now 3 fish tanks, of which one is my 75gallon 4ft and listening to you letting the tank do its own thing is the best advice I have been given. I have had it set up for 2 months now and everything is looking fabulous after a few couple of starting weeks being algae based😁

For some reason my corys NEVER hide anymore. At first I only had two and one always hid until I was gone. But I got two more and they all came out and rarely hide ever. It’s very fun to watch them eat bloodworms and algae crumbles. And if you want to know they are all peppered corys and I have a 45 gallon tall. It’s a community tank with two guppy’s (I used to have four. Sadly the other two died of internal issues. One died from dropsy and the other died form a internal parasite. RIP) four giant danios and two gouramis.(One honey and one red dwarf) I also have ghost shrimp and recently one of my females bred! I have only had the fish for a month and I’m happy that they are breeding. I’ve heard gouramis can be semi aggressive fish but I’ve had mine for two weeks now and they are very chill and curious. I haven’t had a problem with nipping or chasing at all. And all of my fish are chunky and are fed of a high protein diet with the occasional boiled bell pepper for the bottom feeders. I love fish ❤️🐟.

Brushing algae and not changing water leads to the algae particles settle on the glass surface. Which continue to grow on glass and makes it really. Remember it is best to use small siphon along with algae brushing

Great stuff. Corys are my favorite fish. Started following you a few weeks ago. I have 30 gallon tall 'cube' tank that I want to set up as a planted tank and looking for ideas. Will probably keep it simple with a school of corys and school/schools of tetras.

I never have Algae in any of my tanks. I think it is because I start all my tanks with mature Bio Materials and the lighting is just perfect. Water changes at least once a weeks is also very important in controlling Algae.

Right after high school, I worked full time in a pet shop and all I did was scrape algae for 40 hours a week. You can do it endlessly.

Nice to go to the shop and choose the fish, then watch them settle in.

My angels regularly pick off Ramshorn snails. They are good hunters. I’ll probably not get angels again since their predatory instinct is a little much.

Mate could you possibly do a video about house plants you can use above the aquarium with roots into the aquarium. I've had pothos for ages and just purchased a peace lilly for my Betta tanks would love to get a few more varients but not sure on what plants are good for this purpose.

I have 3 albino, 3 peppered and 1 big emerald Cory in my 55g. They all hang together and seem to follow the big emerald aka Oz where ever he goes.

Great content mate. If I can suggest something: the shadow of the root on the background completely ruins the illusion and the impression of depth. That's why I prefer black backgrounds.

I never ever see my corys till the lights go out. Heaps of plants for cover. They scatter as soon as I move.

How do you keep your tank oxygenated? I tried a tank with no air pump and it didn't go well until I added an air supply

Id love to see some Clown Loach or Zebra Loach rather than corys. Although the former may grow too large your your liking/tank sizes.
