Modular Driven Technologies was kind enough to send us one of their LSS Chassis Systems for Review. It only took a couple minutes to install on our Remington 700 Short Action .308.

Of course! I have a similar design on the drawing board right now - the only difference is that my design allows use of an AR style free-float forend. This looks good and the price is right!!

I've been trying to price out a build for this chassis, in comparison to the new X-ray from KRG. What are you using for stock and grip? Looking forward to the review!

Pretty neat concept, customize with the stock you want , like a Magpul prs... curious how big of a recoil lug it accepts, barrel contour, and retail price ?

Have you had an opportunity to do any range testing on this chassis yet? I am interest in it for one of my Rem 700 SA rifles but would like some more feedback.

I see below $390, no prs would be deal breaker imho, prs gains cheek piece and adj lop, but that shifts the total pricing away from budget build. Still think it's slick ! That small package containing a chassis is too cool, if already had parts , then game on

cant wait for the review on this one... i was going to get the whiskey 3 over the aics just because of weight and now might get this. but it has got to be the most ugly out of the 3. ahhhhhg cant make up my mind. really wish i could get behind all 3

I'm sure you will be doing your review on the rifle as it is configured in the video, but can you please look at how well the "Rifle" stock adapter works? I've been looking at this chassis, but would prefer to put a PSR on it, which would require the adapter. Thanks

If we do, it will be as an afterthought. This chassis really wasn't designed to be used with the PRS. The UBR would be a better option, but the lack of cheek options may limit its application.

I currently have a 700 in 30.06 that is mounted in the factory sps dm stock, and it's crap. I use this strictly for hunting large game in the mountains with shots that range no further than 350 meters. Would you recommend this chassis for that application or could you steer me into something more suitable. Weight is an issue, price not so much. Thanks and keep it coming.

You will gain 20% - 30% accuracy with the LSS (or TAC21) Chassis. You would need to use 300WM for your magazines, and bend in the feed lips for the 30.06. (We should have 30.06 mags soon)

Chassis - $390.00 Buffer Tube - $30.00 "Decent" AR style stock - $200.00 Grip - $30.00... Total cost - $650.00... Looks to be about the same price as the McRee's Precision Chassis... Just a thought...

Obviously it will depend on what grip and stock you choose, but you overshot the total a bit. There is only $134 worth of parts (minus bipod) added to the $399 chassis. I could have used an A2 grip and cheaper MOE or M4 stock and shaved the cost down some more. Not taking anything away from the McRee Chassis. It works well, but this looks like it will do an excellent job for the guy on a budget.

Yes it fits most short action calipers like .308 and 6.5 creedmoor for example

+Robert Garza Depends on your use. For PRS type matches, I think the HS3 is a better option.
