Thank you for your videos! you convinced me that I should buy Mecool KM2 Plus, and I certainly haven't regretted it. it's way much better than the previous tv box i had mecool km9 pro, your benchmark list is also so helpful it shows the real performance of each tv box wich is really great because many tv box company's give misleading spec's like they put huge ram but with low speed. i always check your reviews to stay updated with new products in the market, i don't feel like i should upgrade to mecool km2 plus deluxe cause the version i have right now is enought for my need. mybe i will buy one of your recommendations in coming years. i wish you all the best from algeria, happy Ramadan ;)

Thank you for your videos about all TV Box, it is really helpful to choose what to buy , i would like you add very important section to your reviews, please add test of 4K videos from USB, specially the Jellyfish-Videos with High bitrate up to to 400 Mbps, this type of function ist very important to gross section of users. Thank you again for your effort und the systematic review you done with every TV-Box.

The Mecool Km2 plus can be updated to Android 12 but the "manufacturer" of the chipset not the Mecool brand will not produce a firmware for it, because Android 12 has to be 64-bit.

Firstly, thank you for your videos! The video about the Mecool KM2 Plus deluxe convinced me that I should buy one, and I certainly haven't regretted it. But I have one problem: the box is connected to my 4K TV, which has HDM, Dolby Atmos, etc., yet I only get Netflix in regular HD. Where should I look for the problem?

Mecool as promised to work out the bugs relating to Dolby Vision and 4K HDR detection. So the problem rest with Mecool. When I connected to my Dolby Vision TV it was detecting 4K Dolby Vision but not HDR. When I connected to a non-Dolby Vision TV it got 4K HDR in Netflix. So I am not sure what is blocking it only your television, maybe it's the HDMI 2.1 output from the box not working well with your TV that may be HDMI 2.0. Will follow-up with Mecool to see where the with that update.

@@tvboxstop I thought that try one it kills Amazon's Fire stick junk and a few boxes what amazed me is its speed its even got Vulcan and other Goodie's installed and all for $20 dollars I can even side load apps on it its a great little TV box especially for the price I even have it running on my computer using the USB port so great if I loose power on the mains .👁👍👍🍺

Is not working, after enable dev mode and force ddp I can see Dolby digital in my avr but still not sound, in my Xiaomi first gen when I press play I see DTS in the avr

Do you think it could be a good update against the Shield tube that have only 2gb? Look like the shield start getting "old" and I star to look for eventual replacement. Do 4gb is enough nowadays?

Once the finalize and release the firmware update it will make a great alternative to the Nvidia shield and Amazon Fire TV stick/cube. However, with that said when it comes down to raw CPU/GPU gaming power the Shield"s Tegra will still win.

Ok so, as far I understand you, for TV only, is great good but not necessarily worth the replacement if we have Shield (if shield still working). If we are gaming definitely no.?

Would this have "Match Frame Rate" .....I'm trying to get away from my Amazon Cube which does have Auto Frame Rate.....

The feature is not available in the firmware options, but I have seen it automatically switch frame rates on me during my testing from 60 Hz to 30 Hz, and it sometimes switches the resolution from 4K to 1080p depending on what it's connected to. However, I have not seen it change dynamically when playing videos.

It's not bad for an 'official' box but ultimately suffers from a hugely inflated price for the privilege. I am informed that the actual cost of licencing things like Dolby vision is actually cheap for the manufacturer. So to be worth it, your needs have to pretty much match up with exactly what the box can deliver, despite the hardware being rather average for 2024.

I have no idea what's the course for Dolby features. I tried asking Avermedia to implement those decoders in the latest capture card and they seem to not want to do it. If it was cheap it shouldn't have been a problem for them. Thanks for watching and you comment

But who knows the gaming controller issue has been brought up most thanks for documenting that and the easy fix of turning off a setting , one person told Me he actually went through a button mapping process to get it done , that must’ve been time consuming …

false, the LAN port does not work, I connect an external network card using the same cable and the speed is much higher than through the built-in LAN, I plug the same cable into the laptop and get full gigabit

Of course it it works. So what test and result did I get in the video? This is direct to the router. I have four cables connected to my Wi-Fi 6 router, and the one during the first video was faulty. when I changed it I got GB LAN speeds.

And once again an absolute total failure from mecool. The fact that there is no USB 3.0 port on a Deluxe version is still acceptable, but the fact that they advertise that all formats are perfectly supported and therefore run properly and then draw comparisons with Nvidia Shield TV (although I would like to point out at this point that nVidia does not offer any kind of service after the warranty has expired) is absolutely unacceptable in view of the fact that the formats are not functional. After some tests, which every user here is welcome to carry out themselves if they are in possession of the box, it does play Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision is also possible, but only in conjunction with Netflix, which means that Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision simply only work with Netflix and other streaming providers and not with KZfaq or videos from the hard disk. However, this is different with other providers that work accordingly, so be careful when shopping otherwise you will unfortunately be annoyed!
