Once Broken in medfords can be some of the finest , smoothest actions out there... Chris Reeve? no, but smooth absolutely.. they need to be handled and opened and closed quote a bit but my On Belays and Proxima's are like butter.

Awesome knife. I want one.

I like the Midi Marauder (NON SLIM) slightly better to get into Medfords, but this is a great second choice.

Man! It seem like these last 11 are a bitch to get!

If you use that Medford Micro or any Medford, they break in very smooth. Trust me do not put oil on that pivot.

Could be that it needs more time. Thanks for watching

That is Excellent advice. I learned the hard way, and after having oned over a dozen Medfords, the PB Washers need VERY little oil, and you just may induce lock Stick that will ruin the experience for awhie, and cause you to take other action. there are ways to combat lock stick, but if its bad enough you may have to send it to MKT

@@tyarnold4088 Ha! I hope that didnt sound obnoxious, I didnt mean it that way.. I just have a bunch of Medford knives and have thought that oiling the heck out of all knives was not a problem, and with certain knives, less is more.. Case in point.. To be honest, I prefer a dab of Grease, like the CRK Fluorinated grease on PB pivot washers/bearings .. good to go for a long time

@@wcreview8227 doesn't sound obnoxious, it sounds awesome to me. I have a smooth criminal on the way and I'm sure I will get more.

Thats my complait with Medfords, they are good knives, not very ergonomic, and poor value imo

Nice knife I’m thinking about getting one of these. Yours doesn’t have the over travel pin on the lock bar though I want one with the over travel yours must be a older one or from one of the first runs because they all have it now
@KnivesoftheRoundTable8 ай бұрын
I didnt know the new ones had that! Good to know!

Nice looking knife. But the blade geometry? Ummmm....not really practical in terms of sharpening/long-term use (e.g. more you sharpen the blade the more recessed the cutting edge will be...then the blade will lose it's beauty IMHO. Why I prefer the blade shape on Benchmade knives....they don't have recassa's...that I know of....
@KnivesoftheRoundTable Жыл бұрын
In general Medford knives are not the sliciest for sure. More blade thickness than needed, but thats part of their ethos

@@KnivesoftheRoundTable ....seems they were more focused on the ART of the blade than the usefullness . not for me. :)

Certainly not for everyone. I think that getting into Medfords has to come after a long journey of collecting. They are not great value and they are not great cutters. They are well built but overprized for sure and have, for the most part, fairly poor egonomics.

@@AGC828 it’s not an art knife it’s just not meant for slicey stuff.

Does anyone here own any model Medford Knife? They have several models that you might like. I have a few Medfords and I'm telling you that the blades will shave, cut and hack away anything you throw at them.
