Is this to be done reverse as well? Right hand on chest and left hand moving?

I question how beneficial these MQ exercises really are. I practised the full MQ healing set daily for almost 3 years, until I suffered a major stroke 3 months. My left side was completely paralysed. Honestly, if these exercises are so beneficial, shouldn't have they prevented me from having a stroke?????
