Meet Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf: The Stephen Curry Of The 1990's!
2X NBA MVP and Phoenix Suns Star Point Guard Steve Nash retired from the league with the highest career free-throw percentage in NBA history. He shot a ridiculous 90.43 percent, barely beating out Mark Price who held second place at 90.39. Although Steve Nash was indeed a great player and this record is without a doubt amazing, what if I told you there was one person who was statistically better?
NBA player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf finished his nine-year NBA career with a 90.5 percent free-throw shooting percentage making him the best free-throw shooter of all-time.
Not only that but he was once one of the deadliest shooters in the history of college and professional basketball, a two-time All-American at LSU and then a lottery pick who, in nine seasons in the NBA, played against some of the leagues biggest names.
But why have we not heard about him? Today on NBA Insider we take a closer look at the outstanding journey behind his NBA career.
Meet Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf: The Stephen Curry Of The 1990's!

I hope you guys are all having a great weekend ! I apologize for making this video so long. I had to divide the video into two parts because my computer would not allow me to export the entire file as one. I also made the video long because this was a player who honestly had a great story behind his career and I really wanted to introduce you guys to him. I hope you guys can forgive me for making it so long. However, I hope you guys enjoy part 1 of 2 !

King Habibi....So True, in fact 13 million is more like 26 million now, going back 22 years ago to 1995.....Monthly 1 bedrroom apartment rentals in Calif. has doubled from $600 to $1200, can tuna has doubled from 0.65 cents to more than $1.00, 5 Series BMW and E-Class Benz's has balloned from $44,000.00 to $64,000/00, GASOLINE prices has gone from $1.25 gal to $2.70 etc etc, therefore, $13 million in 1995 is would be worth $26+ million today, or $5.2 million per year....

For those of you whom continually overrate his nba career, here is a comparison. Mookie Blaylock a really good pg in the 90s, but was a GREAT defender and not really a big threat offensively put up these career number 14.4pts 6.9ast 4.5reb 2.5st 41%fg 34%3pt The guy some of yall are saying is so great 14.6pts 3.5ast 1.9rb 0.8st 44%fg 35%3pt. And the man played four seasons with two more contracts after the anthem situation. Was not blackballed

He should never have been banned from the NBA!!! He had mental issues but was a harmless player!!!! He had Turrets syndrome ..... & OCD!!!!!! (Obsessive compulsive disorder?!) Tie his shoes over & over again etc! Someone jealous or stupid put him under the radar & got him ousted from the NBA!!! Kareem Abdul Jabbar got to play! But no Rauf had to be snuffed out before he could set his NBA free throw record & other!? I make sure younger know about him!! He was 6'1 & could jump/dunk pretty good too!! Steph is 6'3-6'4?!..... Chris Jackson/Abdul Rauf was shorter & deadly!!!!! 6'1 .... possibly more dunks than steph in the NBA too!? & wasn't on the smallest NBA dunker list on KZfaq with muggsi as the thumbnail 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔🙄
