Meet writer, actor, commentator, and sartorial pragmatist George Hahn live in The Locher Room on Wednesday, February 22nd at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PST.
George, a resident of NYC for 22 years, before leaving in 2016 to move back home to Cleveland, Ohio, returned to the city he loved in January of 2020 for a new job that ended two months later when the pandemic hit. What was George to do next?
George spent his newfound free time on social media, where he demonstrated his passion for the Big Apple which he had left after realizing he could no longer sustain himself in the costly city he loved dearly.
During the summer of 2020, George recorded a satirical video of New York as a hellscape - “The streets are lined with people doing things like … getting ice cream … gay ice cream” - which went viral. George started recording and posting daily anything and everything including his walks, his shaving sessions - where he’d discuss anything from his sobriety to his vegetarian lifestyle to his thoughts on politics. He currently has over 290K followers on Twitter.
His love affair with New York City began in 1994 where he held odd jobs while pursuing an acting career. George was the social media director for Joan Rivers and went on to appear in Sex and the City, Kate and Leopold, Law & Order Criminal Intent and more. In addition to his acting, George runs a lifestyle website offering his insight into Menswear, Grooming, Entertainment and so much more. He also is the host of The George Hahn Podcast.
Don’t miss the chance to meet this social media influencer, writer, actor, commentator and entrepreneur on Wednesday, February 22.

Glad you did this interview Alan did you ever think about trying to get Rob Halford on your podcast. The legendary front man of judas priest who was one of the first to come out as gay in 1998. Which because of what he did has allowed many to come out. Even if they are not heavy metal people or like other music. Even though I am straight he is still one of my heroes from a singing perspective as is Freddie mercury from queen. And Alan I last week in my own way was trying to push back against all this homophobia and hate by singing 2 judas priest songs last week. Including the song turbo lover. Which has certain lyrical references. And enjoyed every minute of it. Even though I am straight.

I am really just trying to help you and others. I write this after seeing in my Google feed that Sony with y and r has forced Josh Griffith to fire all the breakdown writers insisting that if prime time shows don't need breakdown writers then soaps don't need them. Forgetting that soaps have 4 times the amount of dialog vs most prime time shows and that they do 5 episodes a week with no repeats. And this comes a month after firing Anthony morina as Co executive producer. Again off topic a bit but my heart goes out to those breakdown writers who now don't have jobs.

Yes Rob Halford is gay and he also has a theatrical background too. And was good freinds with Freddie mercury. And what's amazing is that most have know problem with that fact. As Rob Halford said I could not take it anymore. And that's when he took the bold step of coming out in 1998. And what's ironic is if you ever watched heavy metal parking lot which was shot in 1986 there is a fan. Who is female making a comment about how they would jump Rob Halfords. Bones. And back then judas priest were doing the turbo tour. Which was their most pop like album. And Rob Halford had just lost his boyfriend to a drug overdose. So he was expressing a lot of his feelings in the lyrics to those songs on that album. Something else that's ironic a few months before atwt went off the air. Ronnie James dio died who was a great storyteller through music. And one of Rob Halfords freinds. What made me think of Rob Halford was when in the interview you guys were talking about rem. And u2. There is another artist you may want to think about and that's Roddy bottom. The keyboardist from faith no more. And that band pioneered rap metal and did it brilliantly Roddy bottom is another one. Who came out sometime in the 1990s. And Allen heavy metal like soaps gets underestimated. But Like soaps is very diverse and very theatrical the same way prog rock was. Most think heavy metal was the sunset strip and bands like motley cruel and ratt and poison and that's just not true. Or to use a soap analogy there's Donna swajeski type sex it up writing and style. Vs Tom racina, Doug Marland, style writing. Which focuses on good real type storytelling. And the basics. And finnaly what made me think about maybe you should get Rob Halford on was an experience I had several years. Ago when I was a lot younger when someone made a homophobic slur to me about Rob Halford. After I was talking about bieng a huge judas priest fan and not liking when Tim Owen's fronted the band. And wishing Rob Halford would come back which happened. In 2003 I will not repeat what was said to me But it was not very nice..
