Houston Brook falls 32' to create Houston Brook Falls. Located in Pleasant Ridge, Maine, these falls are an easy .25 mile hike away from the road.
My wife, daughter, and I threw on the snowshoes, braved the cold, and hiked down to the frozen falls with me on a gorgeous January day in Pleasant Point, Maine. We really got more than we bargained for as this was an amazing sight and quite different from the falls in summer.

Thanks for the support. Outside of FAA regulations there aren't many additional local regulations / restrictions. That said... I'm taking every opportunity I can to get it up in the air! Thanks again, and, happy trails!

Nice! and good to see drone action added to your videography arsenal. My wife is originally from Maine so we visit every couple years. Your vids have shown me some great areas to explore!

The flying camera is fun, for sure! I just picked up the Mavic which is incredibly small and shouldn't cause any issues when I head out backpacking. I should be able to incorporate some aerial shots into some of the regular videos now. Maine is a great place to explore. Very cool man. I like how close you got to things. I know some of that is probably zoomed in but its a cool perspective that you don't normally see with drones. I gotta try that on some of my stuff.

+Tyler Bedgood Thanks Tyler, I appreciate the kind words. None of the footage in this video is zoomed in either during capture or in post. It's a bit nerve wracking to fly that close but I think the few grey it gave me was worth it. Though, it's much easier when the falls are frozen - they're much more predictable that way. The last shot of the logs and icicles was shot with my Note 5 on the OSMO Mobile. Happy Trails!
