I hope you find this synopsis of my medical journey educational. I hope you learn to advocate for yourself, trust your body, be an active participant in your care & learn about different injuries I've shared. I proud of myself for continuing to push forward through all 37 surgeries & difficult mefical dYd. life is still beautiful even when it's not easy.

I'm not sure how you're smiling in so many of the photos you showed, but it's amazing. Saw your Instagram video of not fitting in a car, and assumed it was satire until I saw the X-ray of your spine. Brought me here because I was curious what injury could cause the need for that, assuming it was a traumatic back injury. Hearing your story was a rollercoaster. Thankfully you have found a few good doctors who were able to help, and it's incredibly disheartening to hear the shitty doctors that made things worse and didn't believe you. Please please please continue to spread the affirmation of knowing your own body and not letting our very very broken healthcare system ruin people's lives. Your relative good spirits are amazing! Wish you the best!

Hi Megan, so good to see you again and have an update! My goodness you’ve been through even more since your last video! I’m sorry your periods of relief are so short lived. You have become quite an expert on what can happen to someone with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a walking (at times, haha), talking encyclopedia! I’m glad you’re a person of faith. I can see how if has gotten you through the good and the bad. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. Take care! 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

You're so kind. Thank you. I'm so sorry you've been living a catastrophic medical journey. It's SO hard & sadly, becomes a new normal. Just yesterday I was talking with my mom about how do I know if it's symptoms I should be getting checked out if I've been living with it for so long. It can be very hard to determine what's "normal" & what's something new that I don't realize. Would love to connect. My email is kingmeg19@gmail.com Praying that your symptoms will improve & that you're having a good day. Many blessings & gentle hugs 🌷🫂🌷

Watching this vídeo now, I was wondering… how would you feel about making a Red Flag Hindsight vídeo?Like who knew burping was a neuro symptom?!?!? The depth of knowledge you have acquired is mind boggling. And I so appreciate your generous heart in sharing it with us. You are loved more than you know!

Damn, girl. I don't even know what to say. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sure you've deal with a lot of skepticism by well meaning people and medical personnel who just don't understand. I hope your video educates people and opens their minds.

Thank you for watching 💕 yes, I've definitely dealt with a lot of skepticism & have had both medical/non-medical people tell me I'm faking it, my symptoms are in my head, attention seeking etc. Gotta brush it off & keep going. I know my truth & I don't owe them an explanation. I hope that I can help educate in different ways.

Every time I hear your story Meg, it’s like you’re telling the story of my life as well. You were such a huge part of me getting answers and finding the root cause for so many things I was/am going through. Keep advocating and sharing…so many undiagnosed zebras are out there searching for answers like we were….You’re going to help so many of them. 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🦓

Were your joints always unstable/flexible and did you notice it before your first injury when you landed wrong?
@MeganKing19
@MeganKing19 Жыл бұрын
My shoulders were flexible but that's it. I was an athlete my entire life. The strong muscles kept my joints stable. My body was strong it truly wasn't until I landed wrong & all the exercise ceased that my body fell apart. It was like dominoes.

@@MeganKing19Thank you for taking the time to respond. My neck became unstable after a car accident. I'm constantly focused on my neck and keeping it from slipping forward because it causes all sorts of issues. I do weight training to try and keep strong but have considered prolotherapy.

Привет Мэган. Я тебя очень понимаю и от всей души желаю стать здоровой как можно скорее. (I'm not sure if I understood everything correctly.) I can assume that your problems with the shoulder blade could be the result of incorrect use of crutches. There are some basic laws of applying loads to our body. The main loads should fall on the muscles (after the bones). If you use crutches, then you should put the main load on the latissimus dorsi and pectoral muscles (something like that). If you do not tense these muscles enough, then your load will be distributed incorrectly to other parts of your body and lead to injury. Also, when you begin to constantly use crutches, then you need to definitely do gymnastics on your shoulder girdle and strengthen it with exercises to prevent injury from a sharply increased new type of load. Do you do reasonable gymnastics on all your main body parts related to your movement (legs, knees, shoulders, back, etc.) during this period?

@user-sv4ou5bz7m Жыл бұрын
You need gymnastics to restore and strengthen your natural muscle corset, which should support your spine and neck, as well as all your key joints. If the muscles are weakened from inactivity and do not function properly, then the bones and joints will fall apart.
