In qualifying for competitions you have one other decent team and the others are nations that are not really that good but in South America you are playing teams such as Colombia, Chile and the worst team - Venezuela, are nowhere near as bad as the smaller teams in European qualifying

But now the criteria has changed to Ronaldo has played for different leagues, he has more goals, Argentina > Portugal and so on.
