We are fortunate enough to see those 2 players. It should be a show of great football & respect for the beautiful game. Both have inspired people worldwide & has entertained us for a long time. But facts - * Messi is the most decorated team player, has won every team trophy he could. * Messi has the highest goal contributions ever. * Messi has better passing & playmaking abilities. * More disciplined player, has less red cards than CR7 * 1 VS 1 in any competition, Messi has the edge. i.e El Clasico or any other fixture. * Messi has Won U19 WC, WC 2022, Copa America, Finalissima. Has more Player of the Tournament awards. * Had better ratings than CR7 when they both played in Spain. * Messi's overall game is superior, he can score goals, creates chances, provides assists & make key passes. While CR7 is more of a finisher. * Messi has won more Playmaker award than playmakers. Just freakish.! * Messi has won 2 Laureus World Sportsman Award, the NOBEL of Sports. * When asked about GOAT ques MESSI wins by 2/3 margin. Messi makes people's jaws drop. Plays beautifully & magically. Thanks to the GODS of football in the heavens. Alot of them by cheat/paying refs Some of ronaldo's red cards are controversial. UCL says hi. Also international where Ronaldo is ahead. More player of the tournament coz better team and a County who won wc before unlike Portugal who barely qualified for wc 2002 Ronaldo had better rating as he scored more goals Cr7 can dribble, score and assist too. Tbis vid is old. Messi at the moment leads Europe in 6 out of 7 offensive categories. Most gl contributions: 60. Mbappe: 54, Haaland: 54. Messi: most assists: 24. Most dribbles:146. Most chances created: 71-40 over Mbappe', most passes completed: 2,055. Plus he leads his league in motm's: 14-5 over Mbappe'. This includes UCL matches and international. Messi owns Europe even now in late April. Combine that with WCup, golden ball, IFFHS best playmaker, and fifa best player, and its more than enough criteria to win him ballon d'or # 8.

Thank you very much. So many pple are goal materialists. They think football i just about goals. It is so much more. If a player can be both goals scorer AND playmaker, which is very rare indeed, they will be the best. That's Messi. Both Mbappe and Haaland are only goal scorers as is Lewandowsky.

Come on, Ronaldo is now out of competition. Saudi club is not competive with the European or SA club. He's a great player, a legend, no doubt. Acc. to Fourfourtwo he's the 3rd greatest after Messi, Maradona, and oddly enough, ahead of Pele. But he was never in the running for GOAT.

Iniesta shot 9 goals, made 10 assists. He was brilliant but obviously Messi was better. Messi scored 60 goals and 17 assists in 2010. Xavi scored 5 goals and 10 assists in 2011. Messi scored 59 goals and 37 assists. Neymar scored 41 goals in 2015, Messi 57goals. Messi's stats were way beyond Lewa's, except in goals alone. For ex, Messi had 33 MOTMs that yr, Lewa 16. Look them up. There are too many to list here. And Messi won Copa America in 2021, the equivalent of the euros. I think you're going to have to accept that Messi deserved all those Ballons d;or. France Football was in charge of Ballons d'or and pple all over the world voted. Are you going to pull a Trump and say all these pple won when they didn't?

CR7 scored only 3 goals and he was the second goalscorer at European Championship (the topscorer was Antoine Griezmann for France with 6 goals). Portugal was very lucky then To make a comparison, Lionel Messi was the second goalscorer at 2022 World Cup (Messi scored 7 goals) after Kylian Mbappé (Mbappé scored 8 goals) Messi was more involved in winning the World Cup trophy in 2022 compared to Cristiano Ronaldo in winning the European Championship trophy in 2016 World Cup trophy > European Championship trophy So... for me Messi is the G.O.A.T
