Wonderful reaction and wonderful analysis and the rant was most appropriate. Everything you said, is pretty much simpatico with BABYMETAL's artistic/music philosophy of, "Beyond the genre, beyond the language, beyond the border." BABYMETAL is pretty much one of the most genuine and not at all preachy "embrace your right to be an individual" bands/artists out there today - they just let their music and performances speak for themselves, they simply offer their message, they don't preach it at people with a holier-than-thou self-righteous attitude, no "extreme anti-intolerance is just another form of intolerance" hypocrisy from them. Su will passionately and firmly belt out, "dame! (Never)" and hold that note at the top of her lungs to close Ijime, Dame, Zettai, but then afterwards go out to the crowd with a big smile on her face with the constantly inclusive chant, "we are BABYMETAL." You saw yourself that in the very lyrics of IDZ, there is no attacking the attackers, there is no villainization of any one, but instead a plea made for EVERYONE and in fact there is consideration leant to even those guilty of hurting others in the words with the focus of their defiant stand being directed at the issue itself and not at people. Genuine messages delivered through earnest and subtle artistry is what that is and that's something not so easily achieved, especially in this day and age. "The right to be an individual" that every has and should be allowed to express, as you eloquently put it, is something so true and something BABYMETAL wholeheartedly embrace as a group themselves; it's something they're all-too familiar with having dealt with tremendous critical and commercial doubt, ridicule, mockery and dismissive minimization themselves from their inception, in their own home country and worse internationally because of their very unique and very different approach to Metal music and heck popular contemporary music in general (what with their particular style of genre mixing.) And the most beautiful BABYMETAL example of how true that statement is has been the (deemed by others) VERY unlikely and tremendous success they've achieved in Japan and abroad. Dare to be different, dare to be genuinely you and you dare a new wonderful experience for yourself and for others to consider and quite possible enjoy. :) It's an example we should all follow and especially those of us that are artistically inclined. The more influence this kind of good "human stuff" (as I call it :P) has on the world, the better it is for everyone. :)

Very good reaction but perhaps you might be unaware of the back story to this performance which is legendary among Babymetal fans. The theme of standing up for yourself in the face of bullying had a deep resonance on this occasion. This was the first time the band had ever played a festival outside of Japan, indeed it was very nearly their first overseas preformance. The girls were extremely young; the two youngest were barely fourteen years old and the lead singer Suzuka was only a year or two older herself. They were already coming under fire from the more entrenched members of the metal community for being a perversion of metal music, a novelty act, a trashy pop band etc etc. So it was a surprise at all at that time that they were invited to a metal festival in the very homeland of the genre. It wasn't supposed to be a big deal since they were scheduled to perform early in the day on a side stage in front of a couple of thousand people. Then, at the last minute, they were bumped up to the main stage. Some say it was a deliberate plot to destroy them in front of a massive crowd of die-hard metal fans. Whetever the reason behind it, these three very young girls had to front the band in front of 55 to 60 thousand hard core metal fans most of whom had either never heard of them or were extremely sceptical of them. It was confidently predicted that, in the Sonisphere tradition, they were going to be pelted with bottles of urine. The girls were terrified before going on when they saw the intimidating crowd waiting for them. It took enormous courage to step out onto that stage... the same courage they refer to in the song Ijime Dame Zettai. What happened in the event was extraordinary. The girls strode out, faced down that crowd and proceeded to blow them away. This is the last song of their set and, by this time, they had the crowd in the palms of their hands.... we are Babymetal, we're here to stay... deal with it! It was their first great step towards winning the respect of the metal community; an important turning point in the band's history. No more bullying forever.

They had 2 shows before but nothing like this. Any Babymetal fan know the meaninh of this show. It changed metal. Their merchandise outsold everybody else three days later. Great show to watch.

Babymetal Death 97 Sonisphere was thier 1st festival in the west, which at the time was a big gamble for the band. No one knew how the crowd would react to them. Before they went on they had been warned if the crowd don't like like you, they'll throw bottles at you. So they were really nevous before going on, plus due to the angle they couldn't see the size of the crowd, also because they were the 1st band on the main stage that day they couldn't guess. When they walked on to "Death" you could see the nerves, but because "Death" is so heavy and powerful the crowd warmed to them. Ijime Dame Zettai used to be the closing song which Babymetal called thier calling card and the song that ment the most to them.

Fantastic reaction, Brother! Japanese into English (actually, Japanese into almost any other language) is almost impossible to translate, it has to be interpreted to be understood. What you are reading is actually probably a very accurate "translation", but not "interpreted" version of the lyrics. You got the meaning of the song. The Fox God is part of the Babymetal legendarium, which is what "Fox fly" refers to. I am glad you are not trying to follow along with the lyrics, you can't do it unless you understand Japanese. Thank you for continuing the journey through the Foxhole! There are yet many wonders to behold!

You gave this epic performance the honour it deserves. I always wondered why not the majority of people working in the music industry didn't see the miraculous beauty, as well as the sheer guts it took for these three teenage girls, with their great band, to perform the way they did. This surely is one of the most mindblowing things in music that ever happened.

Really good analysis of this iconic BABYMETAL song. This performance video was the one that actually converted me to BABYMETAL (three years ago!) Great to see how on fully board you are now....it didn't take long for you to become totally assimilated! lol The fox thing..... BABYMETAL claim to be inspired/guided by an ancient Japanese pagan deity called the Fox God....! If you notice, in the video... the audience are giving what seems to be the standard metal "devil horns" sign.... but look closely and you will see it is actually BABYMETAL's own special "Kitsune" sign.... like a shadow puppet fox head. Can I just say that I can 100% empathise with your school experiences..... and The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is a really important charity. If I ever win the Lottery I would definitely make a very hefty donation to this worthy cause! Hope you will react to my previously suggested BABYMETAL live video of "Syncopation"........ another great "message" song is "The One" (slow power metal balled...in ENGLISH!) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a89_mrOnx93dhqc.html Anyway, keep up the good work! Thank you very much for this reaction. IDZ is definitely one of their songs with... well not just heavy music but heavy lyrics. Sorry to hear you were bullied yourself, I hope it didn't leave to deep mental scars and you can have a normal life now. It clearly did make a big impact on you, your raised voice and swearing made it very clear. And I'm glad you found a foundation that you can promote for this. 9:20 my guess is, it means: those who are bullied don't band together against the bullies. 12:10 the Fox means something in Babymetal culture. :-) The Fox is the "Fox God" which applies to their hand sign and their protector/the one who summoned them to be part of Babymetal. The hand sign is their own version of the sign of the horns. Putting up the Fox hand sign is an other way to fly the fox. 21:05 I think it's also because the friend is afraid of the bully, so not stepping in to help. 22:35 it's very powerful, because I think this was just after the moment when they put up the thumbs, as to make a pact to prevent it from happening again. 30:00 It's interesting isn't it that even those who are very aware about bullying and how a lot of the time it comes from prejudice can still make the mistake to have prejudice themselves, I think it shows it's kind of human nature to do so. In nature I imagine it was extremely useful, to quickly judge how dangerous other animals are, etc. But that is also the story about Sonisphere, at least a part of the crowd was probably there to see a disaster, to see their prejudice confirmed. But the guys before the show had to do some sound checking on stage and the crowd was impressed and when the girls came on and the heavy music was being played, etc. the audience was even more proven wrong. This performance really was like a victory. A victory for Babymetal because of their first metal festival outside of Japan, but also a victory over prejudice. Something I would also like to mention, their are online forums of Babymetal fans, at times when discussions heat up and someone gets personal because of it, we do have some that mention: IDZ. As a reminder of how discussion is OK, but attacking is not. To often we still forget. Your reaction is a good reminder we really should do it more often.

Well done. One can see and hear your passion. Never apologize for what you call a ‘mad rant’. On a BabyMetal note, the one thing you’ll discover more as you move forward is that sometimes the melody may sound one way (i.e ‘happy’) but the lyrics convey a whole different feel. (The song ‘Catch Me if You Can’ for example, is ‘bouncy’, but is about being chased by a demon). Anyway, i look forward to watching your BabyMetal journey, however long you chose to travel . 👍

This doesn't sound like it's your first contact with the Japanese language, is it? Your pronunciation of the song title was not bad. And pretty good analysis of the lyrics as well! This performance is very fitting, because it was a little victory over prejudices for them as well, since it was their first big festival outside Asia, and everyone more or less expected the British hardcore metalheads to wipe them off the stage with bottles of piss. Instead they ended up leaving them wanting more. A very significant moment for BABYMETAL and their fans. One thing that this song shows as well is that Mikiko (their choreographer) not just puts together a sequence of meaningless moves. She actually puts effort in supporting the song and its message with the choreography. In the middle part you can see Su step in between the two fighting people and unite them afterwards. I really like this part of the choreography when she brings the spinning girls close together with a gesture of her arms. BTW, among BABYMETAL fans a lot of people are reporting that this band and their songs have helped them through tough times. So whether it's bullying or other hardships, the positivity of the music, the messages it spreads and the smiles it induces do really help.

Indeed it is not, I have a large collection of Japanese metal bands in my music collection, and also my ex-wife was obsessed with Japan and the Japanese language, so I did spend a little time studying the language. I have found in the last couple of tracks that they do indeed convey very positive messages, and I have been informed that the first track of theirs I heard "Gimmie chocolate" does actually have quite a serious meaning to it also, I just didn't look into the song deep enough to know at the time and was instead confused by what a bizarre experience I had just witnessed. This, however, has now changed and I see the band for what they are, thanks largely to all of the fans and viewers that suggested the tracks and gave me the deeper information I needed.

MetalHead Reacts That's awesome to hear! :D And if you'd like to give a song in a similar lyrically minimalistic, performance-wise subtle, total-package-presentation-of-a-song and it's meaning like Gimme Chocolate another whirl - with your newfound broader perspective and understanding of the band and what they're doing :) - I'd suggest BABYMETAL's "YAVA!" There's even a video on KZfaq that has the English translated lyrics on the video itself (which itself is a live compilation video of synced-up footage taken from various BABYMETAL concerts of them performing the song), it's called BABYMETAL - YAVA! [English Subtitles] Live compilation. Note: the lyrically minimalistic, subtle total-package approach is similar to Gimme Chocolate, but the music is not. This one has a little more Ska flavor to it and like usual, there's a song-serving reason for it. ;) Normally, I, as most BABYMETAL fans, would request a proper live video that's not a compilation video, but since you really like following along with the lyrics, I thought such a video might be helpful for you, especially when trying to not only read what they're trying to say with the words, but also trying to see what they're trying to say with their voices, dances and gestures that go along with the lyrics. :) One word of caution though, is that the audio is pitched up about a step or so - it's not at all chipmunk-y sounding, thankfully, but it is about half an octave to a full octave higher than the original audio is. I imagine it's because of BABYMETAL's management company's overzealous copyright striking that was rampant on KZfaq for 2 years, beginning 2 years ago - though sometimes they still do things like that from time to time for some silly inconsistent reason or another. The proper un-tweaked live version of it that everyone loves from the Tokyo Dome concert can be found on Dailymotion. I'll let you decide which one you opt for, my suggestion is only a suggestion. :)

That was my reaction, too! As someone who lived in Japan for almost a year and thus speaks Japanese very good, I loved it. It was most evident in the way you pronounced the i in Zettai isolated, whereas in English you would pronounce it together with the a as almost one sound.

Awesome reaction man, and such a welcome surprise to get a second Babymetal reaction so close to the first! When I saw the first one, saw it was Road of Resistance and you said that it was a silly band I was just glued to the video waiting for your "oh, damn" moment when you realized it was proper heavy speed metal! I really like how you analyzed the lyrics and you're spot on except for one part which you really can't understand without some context. When the group was formed, the girls were shown the metal horns hand sign, one of them remarked that it looked like a fox. Foxes (in Japanese: kitsune, pronounced kit-sue-nay) are very prevalent in Japanese folklore as intelligent trickster gods, so they adopted the "Fox God" lore for the group. The lore is that the Fox God sent the group to earth to unite the world through metal music and become "The One". The band and fans frequently throw up the kitsune hand sign. You can see it at the end of Road of Resistance when Su screams "Put your kitsune up!", and throughout this video but especially towards the end. They also call their fans kitsunes. So in IDZ when the lyrics say "Fox, fly!", they're talking directly to their fans. The fox is a proper translation but it shouldn't be translated, they're saying: Kitsune, fly! I'm sure you can fly, Let out your pain and sadness, It's OK because I'll protect you! As for what to watch next, in keeping with the empowering song spirit: "Karate" is a song about standing up and moving forward in the face of adversity. The music video is really good, but if you want a live performance there's a video from UK Download 2016 floating around that's pretty good. Otherwise I'd recommend a Su solo: "Rondo of Nightmare" with the Mischief's of God intro. This really shows off the band, the song is a haunting tale of a girl being chased through woods at midnight by... something.

Special thanks for sharing your own stories! It's very sad that flagrant things like these keep happening with no attention from anyone especially those who are in charge of not letting it to. Bullying is really a huge issue itself and may also lead to very harsh consequences. It's something to be actually addressed by parenting and education in a much higher amount than it is now. And by the whole society actually. It's just about the core of being a human, isn't it? P.S. Sorry, my English may be quite awkward I suppose. \v/ BABYMETAL \v/

Don't worry, your English is understandable and just fine. :) I think your comment is spot on with the issue. As far as I'm concerned, allowing (and even encouraging) bullying should be seen as a failure and barbaric disgrace of any culture doing so. Not all conflict is negative, but bullying is really unnecessary in its abusiveness, oppressiveness and divisiveness.

MetalHead Reacts...this is by and far the best interpretation of this song, and the band, that I have heard. I did not know of Babymetal until around 10 months ago. I am 56 years old and have found that I totally enjoy the music and style that they have. And as you so perfectly mention here, they send a message within the song (and other of thier songs as well) that, driven with the music, can reach another group of music fans...in this case, Metalheads. Carry on and totally behind your message! I do encourage you to continue listening to their music, when you are able, and I look forward to you insight of their songs.

Great reaction! They still have other "silly" songs about bubble gum and what not, but also other songs like this one with meaningful lyrics. Recommendations would be 1) Karate, live at Download UK, another song about fighting adversity. 2) Rondo of nightmare, a Su-metal solo with a very good instrumental intro and very dark lyrics, and 3) BABYMETAL DEATH, live Legend 1997 (name of the concert) for a very heavy, largely instrumental, song.

Several years ago I made a few BabyMetal English lyric translation/interpretation videos. You have made in this video what I hoped to achieve. Well done on getting past copyright blocks which plagued me when I tried to upload my videos. You make excellent points about bullying especially at School. I am from a earlier era and it is very sad to see that nothing has changed. Keep plugging SOPHIE. I appreciate the time and effort into making your video. If you have time, look at the series of videos by Duane Metal. He has made a whole series of 'Learning Japanese with BabyMetal' videos. He analysis many BabyMetal songs and shows the individual word translations and the meaning and origin of the Japanese words. It makes many of BabyMetal songs even more amazing with references to Japanese folk lore and traditions. In addition, when BabyMetal perform certain songs, the light show also represents the colour references in the song. Here is a link to Ijime Dame Zettai: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdNgaLCCm5idpqM.html Going back to this performance, how many English teenage boys would be able to perform at this level in front of a Japanese rock festival? The courage shown by Moa, Su and Yui is outstanding.

Well, Japanese is a very difficult language to try a "literal translate". As a rule the vert goes to the end of a sentence and also the cultural issues are a pain in the ass to translate. Anyway, about "the fox god" and the strange "devil horns" they do. At the beginning of Babymetal, they "learn" to do the "devil horns" but in her innocence they do a "fox" in the way japanese do for a shadow with the hands. Someone thinks that this can be fun and they create "the fox god" To understand wtf is a "fox god" you must understand some things about japanese culture (and this can also be applied for a lot more bands). The majority religion of Japan are Shintoism and Buddhism. The shinto have no "god" in the same way of the occidental religions. They believe in "spirits" of thing like the sun, the rivers, mountains, sea, moon, etc... (in a way the similar way of native american indians). Also there are some animals who are believed to be "magical" for the tradition like foxes, cats and tanukis (looks like a racoon dog). The fox is also considered as the messenger of the Goddess Inari Omikami en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inari_%C5%8Ckami A really popular goddess in Japan Just some idea who comes from the AMUSE company, nothing more.

The hearts of these girls are amazing. Think about how much they got judged and how much they got hated on and ridiculed for making their music. And guess what they are still going strong now in 2020 despite losing yui metal and one of their guitarist mikio who died.

Ahhh my heart swells with this reaction video. I love how the music connected to you on a deeper level and brought forth some of your raw emotions. I could see it in your face as I heard your words carried forth by your heart. Thank you for standing against bullying and for recognizing that this silly band of girls opened you up like this. Some of the songs are silly in a way, but it's a good thing. Most metal is from a very dark place, some just pain others violent and hideous. But Babymetal comes from a place of light, they bring not only "cute" but uplifting music into metal. A breath of fresh air actually. They are a great example of "girl power" to inspire the ladies to be fearless and strong. The idea of Babymetal was a stroke of genius. Now they are 9 years into it, more talented and more experienced, and still coming on strong. I believe 2020 is going to be a great year for Babymetal and The One. (all of us fans)

Oh and I forgot to mention that I would like to see a reaction on Headbanger official by Babymetal. It's a thing for the Japanese turning 15 similar to the US "sweet 16", sort of coming into your own. One of my favorites.

While I personally consider this singular performance at Sonisphere 2014 to be BABYMETAL's breakthrough moment...going from being considered a gimmick to a level of true genuine respect, I also must recommend you view the original studio version of IDZ...It is so filled with wonderful symbolisms about the way the music community was perceiving them at the time of its release. I thought it to be a brilliant way of giving the middle finger to the musical world telling them that they were legitimately here to make a difference, and by the Fox God, they did!!! Great reaction, good sir!!! KITSUNE UP!!!

It’s amazing watching how Su, Yui and Moa have grown over the years. Sadly, Yui is no longer with Babymetal but I’m looking forward to seeing Babymetal with my daughter (9 yo) for a second time in October. Seeing how Moa performed at the Hiroshima concert was awesome. It seems odd that the first concert without Yui has become my favorite, but the was Su and Moa adapted and the fantastic support from the crowd was special. It’s also amazing that my daughter has been a fan since she was 6. She doesn’t care that other kids think Babymetal are weird and has managed to get a couple of kids interested. Seeing Babymetal with her in San Francisco in 2016 was a special moment for us. I’m showing my age but for those of you who have seen the Bill and Ted movies you might recall that they bring peace to the world and universe through their metal music, basically bringing everyone together. This is what I see Babymetal doing. There were people from so many different backgrounds at the concert in San Francisco. It was a bizarre but awesome sight with people coming up to us asking what the heck we were in line for. So many wonderful memories thanks to Babymetal.

Also, this song is special as I was bullied by a lot of people at high school almost every day for FIVE YEARS. It still bothers me to this day, and contributed to my decision to leave the UK as an adult. I went back to my hometown a few years ago and felt sick when I walked past my old school over 30 years later. To anyone reading who is being bullied, eventually it will end and you can achieve more than you probably believe you can do while being bullied. I thought I was worthless, still do sometimes but I’ve managed to have a successful career and had the good fortune to live in 3 countries. So, don’t give up, there is always a way to make positive changes and chase your dreams, even if it takes years and seems impossible at times.

great reaction, bit of a note about gimme chocolate, the song apparently is about the pressure that girls face about their looks and weight. something that is apparently even worse in the 'idol' industry in japan. so it might be all silly and 'cute' but the lyrics have somewhat serious message in there. as for the other silly songs, well they were just kids who didn't even know what metal, so what can you expect from 11-12y girls who probably dreamed of being part of the next big idol group?

Haven't seen anyone mention it, but the lore of the band is that they were put together by the Fox God to help reshape the metal genre. There's a whole backstory thing they play at the start of their show about it. It's also why they hold up that strange version of the horns, it's meant to be a fox.

The fox references you hear throughout their music (and their hand sign) is a reference to the mythology of a Fox god or guardian sprit that was created by the band that they alternately honor or draw power from. To create a common reference you can essentially consider it to be an analogy to any major religion you chooser identify with. Additionally the dance choreography is generally specifically intended to be interpretive and tell the story of the song, not just moving and grooving with the music. There is a lot of Japanese cultural reference and tradition in the presentation.

Fox means here Kitsune. That is an asian Fox-Demon. The BM-Members believe that the metal handsign is the same like the Shadow Fox handsign. Because of that, they spend the legend of Kitsune as beginning of BM I hope thats make sense, english is Not my Mother tongue.

That's how you conquer the UK! :D It is, indeed, a very meaningful message which you clearly understand. Something I appreciate about the lyrics is that, while they speak of the harm to the victims, it also recognizes that bullying mindset can also be harmful, unhealthy for the bully. There's probably some sort of abuse towards them in their own life which needs to be addressed, or the cycle just continues. Empathy should definitely be encouraged. Of course, there are also some people who are awful without suffering abuse, just because they can be, but that issue should be dealt with as well. Yui's poor skirt was obviously feeling the emotion of the live performance. It was practically falling apart. Of course, she handles it like the pro she is. The Du-metal translations are reliable for getting the message, and they have some nice footnote info, but, yes, the translations can veer into Engrish territory.

As you've seen in the 2 songs you reacted to so far, most Babymetal songs have very deep meaning hidden behind a cute and bouncy surface. Even Gimme Chocolate had a deeper meaning most people miss, mostly due to the language barrier. It's not really just about chowing down on a bunch of chocolate, it's about the inner conflict a young girl has concerning her weight and her love of chocolate. Here's a snippet of the lyrics. Check-it-out chocolate. Can I have a bit of chocolate? But my weight worries me a bit these days However, chocolate. Can I have a bit of chocolate? But wait a while! Wait a while! Wait! Wait! Wait! So, yeah, while the song may come of as a cute and campy song about eating chocolate, there's actually a lot more to the song than just that.

The Fox God is part of the Babymetal legendarium, which is what "Fox fly" refers to. Also look-up "nine-tailed fox" (3x3)!!! .....In another set of legends - "A fox which lives one thousand years can become an entity which can transform into beautiful girl . She can seduce boys and eat their heart or liver, depending upon which legend you read!" Can't say the lads weren't warned!!!! The watcher is as much a victim and an attacker as the actual victim and the actual attacker. Don't hide from bullying and don't allow bullying!!! Don't be a passive observer. No one wins.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🚫 Great job on the pronouncing the song titles. Most folks don't make the effort to try and get those right. Yours sound pretty good. Depending on the context, 'Zettai" can also mean "absolutely", though "forever" also gets the point across. The best English translations for BABYMETAL songs are on Du-metal's site. Here's his 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' page: du-metal.blogspot.com/2013/07/ijime-dame-zettai.html The girls did appearances in plain clothes as part of a Japanese government "anti-bullying" campaign when this song was released. There is also an alternate "Nemesis" version of this song, found on limited editions of the single. It features guitars recorded by former Arch Enemy guitarist Christopher Amott.

THis has to be a Legendary metal moment ... When you read the history behind.. these 3 teenage girls (and fantastic musicians... ) just punched 60 000 metalheads in the stomach, then uppercut in the jaws. And they asked for more. Fck ... I wish i had a time machine to attend the show...

The lyrics you have are good. Hopefully someone has told you to use DuMetal’s blogspot. Great effort in the translation, who’s singing, sidebyside languages, but best of all extensive footnotes on relevant cultural issues that may be differences. He’s done every song btw. Check it du-metal.blogspot.com/2013/07/ijime-dame-zettai.html?m=1 The Fox is their theme, their god. If kiss can be from outer space, then BabyMetal can be the reincarnated spirits of Metal. Haha, get used to it! I forgot to mention the perfect track for reacting: BabyMetal Death Legend 97 Complete. Brutal, you’ll love it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oLiTbMeTzM-mgH0.html The running etc choreography was basically a fight in which Su finally intervened. I couldn’t find my fav pic, but this’ll do, shows Moa full speed across stage in a flying kick, all that energy makes the show work, it has to be larger than life to reach 60000 peeps. She can get some height and extension too eh www.flickr.com/photos/montedarlo/14481924060

I am 2 year late, I just wanna point out those three girls had tenth of thousands people in middle of United Kingdom (someone even said there was 60k on festival) dunno how exact. But they were sang on Japanese and we all know people who speak English are not to eager to accept bands on foreign languages. (I can only think of Rammstein) And in Japanese culture women can transform in fox and often they band mess around with "fox god" but in general they will often mention fox.

For translations, I would check Du-metal; they are much better done du-metal.blogspot.com/2013/07/ijime-dame-zettai.html Kitsune does mean fox, it has various connotations in Japanese culture, but in Babymetalworld, kitsune refers to their hand gesture, their version of the horns; or kitsune refers to a fan. A female fan may be called a megitsune (female fox). I have interacted with many people in the fandom, and anytime people start to get nasty, someone will step in and say IDZ! and everything quiets down. I have known 3 transgirls come out in the community to complete acceptance. This song in particular set the tone, and the community is very accepting and encouraging. Everyone is accepted and gets along. Here's a picture from outside a show that says it all. I believe this was at the Tokyo dome images.app.goo.gl/inkF7dsG5yUKLd5h9
