I feel like Cliffs death is probably one of the most tragic in terms of rockers, simply because it wasn’t from drugs or alcohol. It wasn’t because of his own bad choices. It was a freak accident

He was only 24...i think that's the saddest fact about all of this. He lived his life peacefully, devoting himself to what made him happy, and then in a matter of seconds death knocks your door and you know you cant ignore it. All i hope is that he's in a better place, watching over Metallica, smiling everytime a fan remembers him. The world just needs to understand how much a person devotes of his life to really grasp what we metalheads feel when we speak about Cliff. Only then, they'll know why he is so apreciated. And why we insist in him coming back.

Seen that road they crashed on, it's nothin but a back country highway with no lights. Driver nodded off, woke up and over corrected. There was no black ice, back end of that bus wouldn't have bounced like it did. Tragic as it may be but when you have a job to do and responsibility with it, there is no excuses and he should have pulled over if he was too tired to continue. Can't blame James for his reaction as it was not just a friend he lost but a brother. 😞 RIP cliff

@visibletoallusersonyoutube59282 жыл бұрын
@@xMorbidArtx even “fully rested” you can get drowsy driving long boring road. Especially just before the sun rises for whatever reason. And as far as the bus bouncing I see no reason why there couldn’t have been a spot of ice that made the bus skid THEN skip after getting of the patch. Or even skipping once the rear wheels slid of the road perhaps. But still I’d guess the driver was at fault . He could have been stretching or getting a drink or something that distracted him. Or fell asleep. Semi trailers off track where as busses don’t really to my knowledge but if your trailer goes off the road it wants to pull you off and Is quite difficult to get back in the road and one may over do it . My dad was a hardcore metallica fan. I remember at a young age before he died how he loved the band and how he told me he lost his fucking shit and i mean he went like absolutely mental when he heard about cliff burtons death. That's how much of a fan he was. God bless both cliff and my dad and anyone in the world who died too soon. He died in 2002 so that was a long time ago.

taking this from a website: "As an ordinary ace of spades symbolizes/represents death (AKA the death card), an inverted one symbolizes resurrection, or life from death. It could also mean reincarnation. Traditionally, the ace of spades is the most powerful/significant card in the deck".

The detail about the blanket got me "Don't you take that away from him", almost like, James knew he was dead at that point, but didn't want to accept that he wasn't just asleep, either way, wanting his friend to be covered up and warm on that freezing cold tragic night Jesus Christ man...

Are we just going to ignore the fact that some of the greatest musicians ever were gone before the age of 26..

Usually it's 27, but Cliff wasn't quite that old enough. It is strange though. Jimi Hendrix's death especially was weird, and the more you dig into it, looks potentially scandalous.

The crazy thing that you realize he died just because he DREW A CARD, his death was decided by the universe, luck and chance . It could have been anyone. This is one of the most tragic deaths in the metal world. He was such a legend. You can even hear the members they tried to do everything to save their buddy. To this day, in all interviews you can see the saddnes in their eyes, that they will never forget it.

They loved Cliff so much, Cliff was a friend, a guide, a teacher, a master for them. He probably was that guy they want near by them in every moment. And to see Cliff dead downsmashed the bus must have been a scene so hard for them to assimilate that still now they must feel some sort of acute pain inside the chest. A feeling of lost someone you loved and saddly be sure of his death. Its a feeling you should not even try to imagine.
