It is beautiful. I love the colors. What a fascinating cane process! I'd love one day to see your sanding and buffing process, how long it takes and what all you do. I've heard burnish and rub to eliminate fingerprints before, but never seen how carefully to do so. Thank you for showing that process!! I'd love to see the sand/buff process for the same reason. I still fail to achieve the beautiful glossy/glassy effect that you have with only sanding and buffing. Thank you for sharing. I watch all your videos. Rarely comment, but I'm an avid watcher!

Patricia I'm just going to call you genius. I am always on the lookout for things that will do a job other than what they were intended to do. I have been wondering what I could use to burnish my foil on to clay with other than my hands. the stainless steel soap is exactly what I need. so not only am I learning this awesome technique but I've found a tool I was looking for Thank you so much!

I haven't yet fond the answer to this question I have had. I've been looking, so I'll just have to ask here. I notice in several of your videos you use a laminate where you put your main color (the part that will show) on top of a base coat. Here you have used white, but in some you use black or another color. What is the reason for this? Thanks! I absolutely love your videos. So informational and you do make it interesting. If you take gold clay and mix it with a regular color will the effect of mica shift still be attainable?

If you cannot find pearl clay can this be done using mica powders worked into your other colours?

again another great video.But could you answer a ? for me. you said that you bake at 275 for an hour. my oven that i have only goes in 10's so would either have to go at 270 or 280 is that ok or what would you do the other thing is when i bake for an hour it comes out so rubbery am i baking to long or not long enough. every one say theres come out like glass not mine. any suggestion

What is the plastic you have your pieces on, to put the cut segments together, just before the patty paper was put over for burnishing? (I'm assuming patty paper is parchment paper maybe??) It looked as though you put a bit of muscle into the burnishing with the 'odor soap'. So far I've failed miserably at blending, burnishing, connecting and centering while sticking to any surface put on. Air bubbles smiling out if every piece. I admire the techniques you have mastered working with this medium. Try, try again and again. Not giving up. Somewhere between 30/40 yrs. ago I discovered white sculpy and had fun with it then. Definitely a proficiency to conquer. No where as easy as you make it look. :-) Thank you, excellent video.

What kind of Oven do you use ?

I am new to polymere clay. I have heard you say bake for an hour and six minutes. What temp and is it in a toaster oven. Do you have a "new to clay" video or a website.

~TL;DR ~ If any experienced clay players read this comment, they'll add any little tips or tricks that will make my first attempt less of a disaster. ~ The Story So, here's the thing. I have a tub of un-opened polymer clay. Every now and then I watch a clay video, yet the tub remains un-opened. I watched this video two weeks ago. At the time I thought "Woah, lots of clay skills that I don't have", BUT, ... I can NOT get this video out of my mind. I'm prepping for our annual Craft Visit, watching lots and lots of vids and in the back of my mind is "after this visit, I'm gonna have to find that mash vid again and give it a try. While my friend is here, I'll get her to prep some pop can bottoms for me." I'm also thinking that I'm never gonna find that vid again. Lo and behold, someone else made a "no music, thanks" comment and KZfaq notified me of it, also, bringing me back to this video. I'm hoping over the next couple of weeks, if any experienced clay players read this comment, they'll add any little tips or tricks that will make my first attempt less of a disaster. I have all the equipment, just plain clay though. I'm thinking of adding some Pearl Ex powder to one colour to get the effect. I have subscribed to your channel and you may make a Clay Player out of me yet! At least enough of one that I can add some lovely clay pieces into my Mixed Media works.

I cannot find anywhere that sells turquoise pearl??? The closest to turquoise pearl I can find find is peacock pearl in the premo accents range or turquoise in the premo sculpey range ?? Is it one of these you are using or if not, the Australian distributor of premo doesn't have turquoise pearl.
