I maintain that if there was never a sequel made to Austin Powers, it would have gone down as a legendary comedy movie. One of the funniest of all time. The other two just watered it down and distracted from its original genius. I believe if he had just kept bringing fresh ideas like that once every few years, instead of getting sucked into the money making machine, we might all be waiting with bated breath for his next release. In fact, just no sequels period. Wayne’s World, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, and then let his genius take it from there. Hollywood sure knows how to destroy a beautiful thing.

Love conan's unique vibe. He never let's the guests opinion on a topic be forced. He let's them take the lead and helps here and there when needed to keep the volatility of humor and interest. My personal favorite talk show host. Mocks narcissism in many ways, love it.

@@edbunkers4516 i understand what allegedly meant. Even if it's only a small fraction of narcissism, most people would be. But I have come across a very few rare minds who really had no selfish malicious intent and though its impossible to know what's going on with someone else's thoughts, I believed they never felt above others or risen above other by others... not sure if I'm making my point. Anyways, conan is a prime example, from what he puts out into the world, outside and from his broadcasts with TV. He's good at heart and incapable of being a true narcissist. He knows how to be one which I'm sure why he loves to mock such a silly flaw in ones self. With many of his skits you can tell he's trying to communicate that life can be done without narcissism and just how utterly silly the whole matter is and of course he does it in a fashion without insult or aggressive criticism. Love it when conan and Jordan schlansky get together cause you see conan turn up the narcissism to 11.

its strange to hear modern interviews (2022) in that Mr. Meyers seems to speak in what I imagine is his own natural voice (albeit a mellowed version to reflect his age) as opposed to this video's interview where it seems heavily injected with the character he has most recently channeled (in this case, Austin Powers). Very interesting.

Well Mr. Fairmind, listen to his interview with Stern. He gets into detail about how he came up with Dr Evil. Mike never mentioned or gave credit to carvey. I think sane minded people would call that stealing, or "plagiarism" if it makes you feel more fair. "The Wayne's World stars' relationship took a blow after Carvey, 66, thought Myers, 58, stole the Dr. Evil character from him and used the creation in the Austin Powers movies. On The Howard Stern Show in 2016, Carvey claimed he originated Dr. Evil as an impression of Saturday Night Live creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, back when Carvey and Myers starred on the show." @@XxThatGuyOverTherex1 Are you sure? Remember those, "That's a man, baby!" scenes? People would be review bombing it for being "Transphobic"

Inspired by Sean Connery? How about Dana Carvey shown it to you and you stole it?

It's sad that Dana Carvey has to go on talk shows and show how jealous he is of his friends. He's bitter that his career as an annoying impressionist never caught on in America. He should move to France. The French love comedic hacks.
