“Spongebob wasn’t created by corporate ThinkTank or a team of animators... No, the most popular cartoon of the 21st century was created by a Marine Biologist” - EmpLemon
@kevinzhang33135 жыл бұрын
Okay that's foolish, this idea was his, and his humor/vision for it formed it in the first 3 episodes, but he DID have a team of skilled animators, writers, storyboard artists, directors that made as much iconic contributions as he did. Him being a marine biologist and instructor is an interest that led him to do this, as well as drawing. You talk about it like "oh hes a professional yup hes not like others" Yes he is, because he was always artistically inclined and dreamt imaginatively and creatively just like other animators and is every much like other great animators in every way. Like other Nick animators, he graduated from a prestigious animation school. It's just that it's not the only world he knows.

Kevin Zhang no its like you know there are many creators who create shows just for money so they hire people who they don’t really care about at all or their work just if they can get the job done ofc he hired people but his passion for the show and what he wanted was different , he wasn’t greedy he was the exact opposite to how people would be like

I think he was also an inspiring animator too if you look him up.

The first few seasons of SpongeBob are almost untouchable in the history of animation. It’s so original, so creative, so goofy, so fun… Kids and adults adore it alike, and it’s taken on new life in the internet age. Truly a timeless show that will stand the test of time.

This blew my fragile little mind at the time. It was at this point I knew that I really wanted to make a cartoon/entertain people some day, in the same vein as Stephen Hillenburg did. Also I apologize for all the darn flickering. I don't know what that's all about.

@MIKERPHONE2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. On a technical level, as I'm the one who published to, and is hosting it on, YT it would likely be me. Never hurts to ask your teacher/prof before your submission, to be sure. They may instead be looking for the initial publicist, being YTV, and not the archivists, TCG8000 and me.

A-TRAiN have you even watched any of the new episodes? you're blinded by nostalgia. the new episodes are getting much better. the only horrible seasons were 6 and 7. 4-5 were more mixed bags but still pretty good, 8 and 9a were mixed bags but getting better after the trainwreck of 6 and 7, and 9b-present is really good. i am betting you've only watched the worst episodes of post movie.
