Yeah, in real life you get assault charge and you teach your kid that problems are solved with violence. Was the guy an absolute dickhead? Yeah. Did Ray achieve anything by throwing him through the window? No. Brilliant show though, shows more realistic view of a sociopath.

You have a room full of adults (along with his wife) sit back and witness a grown adult man take advantage of a child … in full view, yet they frown upon the man who states that it’s not proper behavior ? Seriously. How does a grown male open his own, walk over to someone’s daughter and snatch her gift out of her hands then give the father an “F you”? That’s just begging for a beatdown.

like most things in this show, it's a complex situation. yes, the guy was a dickhead to do what he did. yes, he was a particular dickhead to act like a pompous douche when ray reasonably asked for it back. did he deserve to get thrown through a plate glass door over it? should ray have done it, knowing the consequences? should he have taken the high road and bought her some cute unicorn thing instead of choosing the most destructive response possible? in the end some pompous douche knows to be less pompous in the future. but at what cost? what cost to his family, who did nothing wrong, what cost to ray, his girlfriend etc? i think even ray in the end learned that this life of violence that he led in the name of respect wasn't the right way to live, as it brought him little to no happiness and was a net negative to society.

I took a fish pillow as a white elephant gift to a company Christmas party. It was a great big green trout that somebody gave me and I didn't want. It became a prize in the Christmas bingo game. The rules were that you could pick a prize and then you could steal/trade for a prize that anyone had already picked. I know, really stupid game. A little boy got bingo and went up there and grabbed that fish. He was over the moon thrilled. Funny, 'cuz I hated that thing. A grown man later took that fish from that little boy. The boy started crying, and the man did not bring it back. The next grown man to claim bingo went and took the fish from the idiot. Then he gave it back to the boy. Good thing too, 'cuz all the windows were on the second floor and the idiot might not have survived the fall.

@@mikeincanada_ I can see over internet how awful it has become over the last few years and it makes me quite sad. I hope the Canadian people can get rid of the government it now has and gradually become a place yet again which is the envy of the world. I wish you lots of luck and success with this Mike. I am English and was for 2 years in Medicine Hat because I was stationed in Suffield about 30 miles away. Myself, wife and baby Daughter were there from 87 to 89 and we left just as the East Germans were set free. I remember my wife (who is German) shouting to me to come in to the living room one day as she saw on TV what was happening, we were both so surprised and happy to see this happen. a month or so later we returned to Europe and ended up in Belgium, then again in Germany where my second Daughter was born. This is when we decided that I should leave the Army and stay in Germany. I am now so pleased that we were turned down for our emigration. How time flies, I now have 4 grand children and we all speak a number of languages between us all. I speak English German and Dutch and so dose my youngest Daughter, my eldest Daughter speaks English and German, my eldest grand son speaks English German and Croation, my two grand children in Austria speak Austrian (similar to German) German and English and my latest bundle of joy will speak English German and Russian. This would not have happened had we been in Canada. I wish you all the best Mike, John.
