Alpha 2 Dan has to be my favorite iteration of Dan. He's the perfect blend between his iconic jokey self, with a slight bit of his seriousness to him. Also, yeah. The taunts are LEGENDARY.

I like how Dan's victory pose where his sleeve of his gi comes loose is a reference to the 3rd Art of Fighting protag, Yuri.

Man Alpha 2 is my absolute favorite SF games of all time. So many nostalgic memories of playing this one at the arcade at an old local mall and on my Saturn. Love everything about this game: the visuals, the music, the gameplay, etc. It's basically the perfect SF game to me.

Max, I really gotta say, man... I love it when you do these Legacy series. Seeing you go through games I know of but don't have major firsthand experience with - and seeing you do that in a massively enjoyable way - is freaking awesome!

To anyone who see this try this out, on Alpha 2/Gold when you do Dan's "Hishou Burai Ken" for the super finish, make sure in that super the sweep is what lands the ko and listen to the hit echoes afterward, you will not be disappointed it's so satisfying and devastating how strong he is.

Man, Saturn is a gem. A GEM. How good was to play a fighting game in this console (as long as you had the 6 button joystick hahaha). I've spent hours and hours playing XvSF (simply amazing), DS and KoF... good memories...

I always used to think the Sega Saturn version was pixel perfect (load times notwithstanding), but I got to say, all the sound effects were compressed to hell!

Interesting but useless tidbit about Ken's stage: If you're playing as Ken with this stage selected, Eliza would be cheering you on instead of being mad. I think that's only in versus mode.

I never forget my first time playing alpha 2. Back than didn't see Dan from first alpha game I saw secret characters Akuma and Bison but not him. When I see him with Akuma and Bison in roster, I thought he is new powerful character and selected him. The result is I got destroyed.

I enjoyed Street Fighter Alpha 2 and I got to enjoy the game via the PlayStation 1 version. I kid you not. Plus seeing Dan finally beating Sagat was satisfying. Plus the theme is just really good. I should mention that Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold also reappeared in the Street Fighter Collection. That game contained Super Street Fighter II Turbo as well. So yeah, that's how I first knew about Alpha 2 Gold. Plus... playable Cammy, Evil Ryu, SF2 Chun Li and Shin Akuma.
