Nice 2-1/2 lb savings over my older Mak XWT08 1/2" impact, but easily takes care of my #150 ft lb F150 lug nuts, which was mostly what I used the monster Mak for. Mak is going to be relegated to suspension and mount parts and running tougher puller jobs (or anchor bolts). Setting 4, which will give max torque to remove the nuts, but then reduce to slow speed to finish removing them (so you don't sling a nut out of the socket and across the bay) works nicely, and in driving mode setting 4 will screw a nut or lug on, but then stop at #35 lbs torque, so you can then finish up "properly" with a torque wrench. Nice features. Can't believe I waited nearly two years after their introduction to jump in. I'm just hoping a newer "Gen 4" isn't right around the corner. Recent price drops on these (Amz, etc) have me suspicious, but extensive online searches have not yet substantiated my fears of immediate obsolescence. For awhile now I've had two M12, 1/4" Milw ratchets (reg & long reach), a reg M12, 3/8" ratchet (spec'd at #55 ft lbs), the model 2554 M12 3/8" stubbie (spec'd at #250 ft lbs, which covers most small-medium jobs). With the Mak covering the high-torque top end (rated at over 1k breakaway torque, although the 2767 specs now exceed the specs on my old XWT08), the 2960 (3/8") or 2962 (1/2") now cover the mid-torque perfectly. BTW, the newer Milw CP 3.0 High Output ("HO") batteries (using 21700 cells) apparently put out results from the mid-torque impacts similar to the XC 5.0 batteries (which use the 18650 battery cells), but at a modest size and weight savings. "Torque Test Channel" has a lot of excellent content showing this. With the 6 AH batteries, you are still going to get a bit more juice than either of those, so you're good. FOOTNOTE: While I appreciate the Milw mid-torque for its balance of small footprint, battery options and MW's overall wide tool range (which I am already widely invested in with both M12 and M18), if you are already in the DeWalt 20v eco-system, their DCF891 (released around a year after the Milw mid's were) actually outperforms the Milwaukee's by a decent margin, albeit at a quarter lb extra weight and nearly an inch longer body. Torque Test Channel did a head-to-head with the DW DCF891 and the MW 2960 (which while rated by MW at slightly less breaking torque than the 2962 actually just slightly outperformed it in TTC's testing). The DW produced around 100 to around 170 or so addl ft lbs torque. If you go to any TTC video, click on their channel name, go to "videos", then search for "DCF891" you'll see the comparison video. On a side note, there are also two Makita's which TTC rated higher overall than the Milw 2960/2962 in the "mid-torque" category, but both of those were either much heavier or used 40v batteries, and were noticeably bigger. FYI.

The DeWalt DCF891b (also a 1/2" mid-torque impact) is in a kit (model: "DCF891B/DCB205CK"), with charger & 5AH battery, on sale at Zoro for $249. That sale price has been up for a couple of days. Pretty good deal, and the specs vs this model were about 50-150 lbf-ft higher, albeit at a 1/4 lb heavier and nearly an inch longer. (it was also showing at Grainger, Zoro's parent company, for the same price, but that price was pulled down sometime yesterday). If you're already in the DeWalt battery eco-system, it is a good option.

I've been having one for years, great tool people think they need a high torque but they don't realize how much 650 ft lbs is it will break shit seriously the new high torque 1750 ft lbs 😂 if you don't have a semi you don't need it honestly that mid torque will do 95-97% of everything it's small good lighting and powerful AF Be careful tightening lugs you will break them remember how much 650 ft lbs is 😂
