Create Mind, Body, Spirit Balance; Five Simple Tai Chi Movements; Placing Awareness on the Not Obvious. In this video I discuss how to create mental, spiritual and physical balance by shifting our awareness to that which is not obvious. When we put our mind on the obvious, we are operate in the state of imbalance. However, when we place our awareness on the not obvious, we balance ourselves.
For instance, gravity is obvious because it is felt by our bodies. When we weight shift we tend to place our mind and awareness on the side with the most weight. That is the obvious. However, when our mind goes there, to the obvious, this creates imbalance. It already has more essence because it is felt. We do not need to add more by attending to it mentally. If we place our mind in the not obvious, the other leg for instance, then we create a better balance.
By placing our mind in the NOT obvious we create balance.
I provide visual examples with my favorite giraffe toy and then we put this concept into practice as I lead you through Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang) followed by five simple Qigong movements for practicing placing our mind in the not obvious to create internal balance.
Improve your Tai Chi or Qigong practice, or the way you move through life with this simple mental strategy of placing your mind in the not obvious.
