Another great video! On the day of my visit this wasn't running but I still went and had a look. I'll have to revisit the whole site at some point in the future.

I think that happened to me on our first visit.

A really nice 5' raised track in beautiful surroundings. I also liked the signal boxed and the brick lined tunnel. Looked pretty fast at some points of the ride, but the track looks pretty solid and well maintained.

This railway can be found in the Midland Railway Centre, tucked away in a corner of the site, which could well be missed.Loads to see Standard gauge and a nice Narrow gauge line, well worth a visit.

Compliments to the black 5 builder on producing the right sound from his whistle. Not heard very often in model engineering

Hi Ian. So sorry for the delay in replying, but these comments seem to have got lost until now.......Yes sounds great,I keep getting moaned at for not having the right sounding whistle on the Scot, but I love chime whistles on the Britannia's so that's what we put on it........Regards Chris

We love these smaller loco's so much fun to drive, this is a five inch gauge raised track and we did visit the Derby M.E.S track which is also five inch but ground level.....Unfortunately the camera battery was flat by then so we didn't get any footage,we will visit again soon and this time we will have another spare battery......Regards Chris

Hi Chris, despite the fact I talk to you via this channel I post steam stuff on my other channel - Mark Stuf/Steam . My latest vid - a train-packed visit to the Spa Valley Railway - is now available. I don't usually like 'plugging' like this but I'm really proud of what I've made...with that in mind I'd very much appreciate a view. Hope you're well and good luck with your continuing quests. Mark=

I just cannot get used to you having two channels, but I did just see that a video had been uploaded on the Spa Valley, will give it a look.....Long while since we visited that track Mark. Just catching some of the local tracks that we have not rode on,due to our Fuchsia show exhibiting the next bit trip will be the end of August so keep an eye out for that....Best wishes Chris.
