When, where, and why did things end up so wrong? If any progress is to be made, we must learn from our past. This is the Arc 2 Finale of Bonds Beyond Fate!

Miraculous Ladybug is a show with fundamental issues and its canon origin for the characters does not escape from being problematic. So out of my disappointment, and with a sprinkle of inspiration, I rewrote the origin story into something I think would be more enticing as a show. I think this version works out some of the frustration that the current iteration of the show has including giving Master Fu and Cat Noir reasons for existing, doing away with the love square as soon as possible, providing the opportunity for stakes that actually matter, making Gabriel more interesting, and actually connecting Gabriel to Marinette. Are all of these things necessary to make Miraculous Ladybug better? No! The current elements of the show are mostly fine, the execution just needs some help. Nevertheless, I tampered with the story anyway =P

I hate how some people say “I can’t put blame on anyone here” and like….the obvious blame goes to Chloe’s parents and their crap parenting. Chloe might have been the direct cause, but Audrey (and Andre) are/were responsible for her.

💔 That got DARK in ways I wasn't expecting. When I heard the part about the spray bottle with contents Chloé couldn't make out, and noticing kid Alya didn't have her glasses yet in the drawing, I instantly, INSTANTLY knew what was coming up. It was incredibly dark... and then went toward heartwarming territory with Emilie & Gabriel showing care for Chloé and calling Audrey out. ...Then it became sad again with Nino being introduced and Chloé relapsing... holy smokes.

It's like, all I could see while listening to the chapter was seeing Chloe being drawn like Barbie and Ayla as Dora the Explorer 😂 I enjoyed the chapter though, it was heartbreaking for sure but really intriguing.

💔 So, my theory was correct, but now I'm kinda wishing it hadn't been. 😭 To think all of this could've been avoided if Chloé had at least one half-decent parent who didn't cause her to grow up so darn insecure. 😒 I feel so bad for all the kids involved here, especially Chloé and Alya of course. Knowing fully what happened makes everyone's behaviors in past episodes make a lot more sense in retrospect, and it's going to be interesting re-listening to the previous parts with this knowledge in mind. I sincerely hope things can be fixed between this bunch. It's sure going to be hard, but I think it's possible. And I like the implication that the mending of these friendships may be the key to at least help stop the bigger issue at hand. I'll never get over how much better written this is compared to the actual show. 👏👏👏 P.S: Your story also made me hate Audrey more than the canon show did, which is REALLY saying something. 😅

I think its really interesting to note that chloe didnt think anything big would happen from this. You even had her punish alya BECAUSE she wouldnt be affected and would get over it quickly. It mirrors how in real life, we might do "little" things we dont think are very bad, because we see them as small. "even if its a sin, God will forgive me" thats called Presumption, kids. Idk i like the way you wrote her thought process.

When Chloe was spraying Alya with chemicals, I pictured Alya’s hair got damaged and that why at age 14 or 15 alya hair had orange-ish tips because it was bleached in the process

💔 Oh God Chloe nooooo! 😭 Also oof the things that happen when your parent decides to coo over the more talented kid instead of trying to bring your spirits up and motivate you to be awesome! Oh no... NONONO CHLOE THAT'S NOT WATER IN THE BOTTLE! NOOOOOOOOO! Poor Alya... One knows a story is good when an element as minor as glasses has a backstory attached. Whoa. And yeah Miss Bustier really is a little bit overconfident. Edit: The way the picture changed at the end from sadness to cold resentment. It gave me chills.

Yeah, the plan of having the girls in the same class so they could make up, big no no for me. If that were my kid that got injured, I wouldn’t be comfortable with having Chloe in the same class. It makes Aliya’s defensive response last episode make sense “you don’t know what could have happened,”. I feel for Chloe, her parents are at huge fault for her behavior. I would want to help her so much, but my kid comes first.

This version is sooooo much better than the original! Some places I got teary eyed for Chloe 😢 You could totally be a voice actor if you wanted to. The way you switch from sad, rejected, devastated Chloe to neglecting, unconcerned, and haughty Audrey is just SO full of talent. I love this series so much 🥺

You know, Chloe and Alya's backstory and fallout kinda reminds of Blitz and Fizzarolli from Helluva Boss. Chloe being Blitz and Alya being Fizzaroli, in this case. Best friends since childhood only for a gruesome accident that left one of them permanently disabled that cause them to grow apart and hate each other. Makes me wonder how Chloe's gonna make with Alya as the story continues.

You made Alya’s design (glasses and all) actually have intention. I’m no writer or someone who wants to write but when I heard that the chemicals were the reason Alya wore glasses than just shallowly designed to looking smart, I was like “well done”.

I appreciate the kudos! 😁✨ Though I have to give characters designed with glasses some slack. Sometimes you just have glasses from bad eyesight and not necessarily to look smart. It's realistic to have characters with glasses for natural reasons.

💔I used to wonder what sort of situation would warrant a "life long" grudge like the one between Alya and Chloe, given that they're so young still. (spoiler warning) . . . . . . But I did not expect the reason to be "attempted murder". That entire scene was horrific, from the opening of the cleaning cabinet, to the removal of the lid of the spray bottle and pouring it into Alya's mouth :/. As terrible as Chloe's actions were, it really is just the result of neglect and terrible parenting. No parent to tell her no, stop or what's safe and what's dangerous. Chloe was just imitating something she'd seen on the internet, I'm sure she didn't mean to torture and almost kill Alya. Anyway, brilliant work! I'll patiently wait for what you have in store for us next :)

It's so interesting to see the villian origin story of Chloe's treatment of Mari but also her eventual rift between herself and Alya all because Audrey took an exceptional liking to Marinette which snowballed (in Chloe's mind) to Mari being the cause of the blonde's misfortune and being a kid is no real excuse for temporarily blinding and nearly killing Alya. However, Chloe did feel immediate regret and tried to reconcile but Chloe's actions caused Alya and Chloe's friendship to be permanently shattered (for now.) I'm not really sure how this wild ride ends but I'm ready for the eventual destination 💔

Chloe should not be allowed near other students she keeps harming them over and over again and nearly KILLED Alya not to mention biting Marinette to the point of BLEEDING and kicking/ slapping her. I’m finding it so hard to feel sorry for her honestly 😭 very drama filled part great writing Alou! Edit: ok coming back after a while I can see that she was only 5 and had no idea the consequences of her actions and such. And damn a 5 yr old needing therapy is wild

Question, Marrinet spent the first few years of her life in England in this story, so I’m curious if their was a language barrier if she didn’t speak French or with her parents knowing they would move to France her parents had her tutored in French so she would adjust better or are her parents already flutent speakers and spoke it around her?

Marinette is bilingual with French and English 😁 Her dad was originally from France and met the mom in England. Sabine was tutored in French while Marinette grew up learning both. 😁✨

Yes, Zoe's full first name is Zoe-Lee with Bourgeois being her last name. It's like the name Mary-Kate which has two names connected by a hyphen. Same for Zoe-Lee 😁 She and Chloe are 100% Audrey and Andre's daughters~

I have a question, do you have a reason as too why Marinette's hair is blue? It is definitely not a natural color in the real world.

I wouldn't look too deeply into it as it's a cartoon with other unnatural things in it. As for the canon show, I always heard that there was a technological reason as to why her hair is blue and not black, but seeing as there are other characters with black hair, I guess that's not true??? Idk lol. Idk if her hair is legitimately canonically blue or not (like if the characters acknowledge her blue hair) or if her hair is actually black but the sheen comes off as blue...it's unclear XD But my answer is it's a cartoon, so it's no big deal imo 😁
