@@alybadry203 That's actually quite incredible. I love it when VAs are super flexible like that. Kevin Michael Richardson is known for his very deep voice but apparently can also do extremely high cartoony ones. You should see the english cast for Dragonball. Goku and King Kai being the same guy is just the tip of the iceberg. It's crazy what these people can do!

The context to half of these clips is that Pauling is on a state-mandated vacation. This is her evading the law by working on her “break” (Could also be Hellen keeping Pauling around her finger during her “vacation,” but considering Pauling is also shown to be as sociopathic as Engineer or Sniper, she’s also been shown going behind Saxton Hale’s back to give us new weapons, _and this is TF2 we’re talking,_ I’d say she’s making the conscious decision to vaca from vaca… She looks barely interested in her postcards too, lol)

Pauling's interactions with the others really highlight the fact that she's gotta be the most "normal" character in the game. Edit: Usually, when you see more than 50 replies under a comment, you'd assume it's a huge argument. However, in the TF2 community, 50+ replies mean a huge discussion about the lore. Yet another instance where TF2 saves the day.

@@somerandomdepresseddude The Heavy canonically has a PhD in russian literature. He and his family got sent to the gulag because his father was a revolutionary fighting against the USSR regime. He trained in the gulag until he got absolutely shredded, then broke himself and his family out. They all now live deep in the siberian wilderness as fugitives, and Heavy became a mercenary to support them. Being a classical literature professor isn't exactly in demand in the current economical and social situation, after all. He's a lot smarter than he appears to be. It's just that his english isn't fluent.

My favorite in-game Ms. Pauling interaction is when she talks to Pyro in a sweet, endearing voice like a good social worker interacting with a mentally challenged patient or an elderly person suffering from dementia. It's very heartwarming because it demonstrates a level of understanding and caring for Pyro and his issues that I never expected from any cast member. The world truly needs more Ms. Paulings.

So far I have seen little to not reaction about women having husbandos but their bad fame seems more to be rooted on their zealotry regarding their own fanfics and headcanon rather than about the fact they like something that is not real. Miss Pauling fits in among the mercs so well because she’s simultaneously the straight-man to a lot of their individual craziness while also being her own flavor of crazy. Valve’s level of writing and VA work certainly doesn’t hurt, either.

Ashley Burch is a phenomenal voice actress who's work demands all the praise and respect, and I tell ya, I think Miss Pauling might be one of her best works. All the charisma she brings to the table helps miss Pauling be as likable and alive as she is
