I would love to hear you talk about hormones/libido and how they relate to fitness and body fat if that’s something you’re comfortable discussing. There’s so much conflicting advice on this and I know I can count on you to accurately present the the facts.

Yes, this would be an an amazing topic! I recently found out I have PCOS & had a breakdown yesterday bc I’ve been going to the gym & haven’t noticed much of a difference. Any advice from Marissa is great advice & VERY HELPFUL 💗

I am a dance teacher and I teach about 12hrs a week and lately Ive been noticing I haven't been able to maintain weight anymore, gaining at a rapid weight around summer of 2021. I don't exactly have the option to workout less (although I have thought about picking up cross fit/weight lifting) but I have been eating MORE and a little more often and that seems to be doing the trick for now! You really have changed my life and the way I look at food and working out! You are so necessary and so wonderful! THANK YOU!

This is awesome! I cut back from 5-6 days a week to 2 days of training plus 2-3 cardio days and I feel amazing. Gotten up on my Maca root, ashwaganda and magnesium complex as well. I finally feel like I'm heading in the right direction as far as sustainable fitness for my lifestyle. 🙌🏾

Truth be told im so much happier eating less, fasting and cutting the carbs is probably how I eat for the rest of my life minus some monstrous holiday cheat meals😊

yes! I always recommend focusing on ADDING good stuff to your diet rather than SUBTRACTING "bad" stuff. It feels much less restrictive

I took collagen for around 5 years and only recently realized that my acne gets better on vacation because I'm NOT taking collagen. I've quit for a few months now and my acne is SO much more manageable.

I don't know exactly what you mean by intuitive eating but if I do the one meal a day thing I start craving stuff that normally repells me like the fat on a steak or even fish of all things.

But does dietary collagen just immediately convert to the same, usable collagen your body makes? I use it cuz it's the most straightforward protein powder but I'm dubious that the body really uses it the same way it uses the collagen we make.

I train 4x a week lower -upper body. Actually I do only compounds. 3-4 excercises, 3 sets each. I change rep ranges every 4-8 weeks. Want to build muscle. Do you consider that a good programming? Or is that too little?

I did a 7 day fast last March and lost 10lbs in a week, I’ve been able to keep it off and even lose 3lbs more. Do you think that I would have gained all the weight back by now if I would gain it back at all?

I think you would have gained the weight back by now but I'm hoping you're not sticking yourself in a permanent calorie 'deficit' to keep that weight off. If your current diet/lifestyle to maintain the weight loss is unsustainable then you'll end up gaining it back.

I might be buying them thin mints, I just found out that I might have a gluten intolerant and it's fing up my digestive system, doesn't help that I have PCOS and gluten and dairy is not helpful.

Neither is better--they're just different. Maca is good for energy and hormone balance. Ashwagandha is good for reducing stress.

I add total protein, since I do eat legumes and grains as well. I think Marisa said that hydralized collagen is bioavailable, so why wouldn't you?

@@meepmoopmeep1 If it has protein, I count it. some collagen has up to 10g of protein per scoop, so obviously I would count that. :) I don't know why people wouldn't count collagen as protein? It's mainly a specific type of protein is all it is. Hope that helps!

Yes. People say it doesn't count because it isn't a complete protein but that's like saying beans don't count because beans aren't a complete protein. It doesn't make any sense haha
