It's fun to mix & match weaving fibers, isn't it? Combining a touch of this, with a dash of that - it's very thrilling!

Oh my gosh! This series is perfectly timed for me! I just recieved a beautiful chunky Peruvian Highland wool it's 250g/112m and I won't have enough to use it for the warp. So have been wondering how to select a complimentary warp for it. Had not considered shrinkage! Great point. I am a super beginner so really appreciate how you break things down 😊

You really do a lot of experimenting. The only mix and match that I do is cotton warp and wool weft. And I treat it like a 100% wool.

Is that a honeycomb rug? Love it! How has it held up with the floats? Is there a pattern draft you used?

Hi! While it might be thick enough to use as a rug, I have simply had it stored in my shelves for now. To your point, I think the floats would be a problem in that application!
