My husband restores old tractors as a hobby---and sometimes they have to put on vinyl stickers for the logos on the old tractors----anyway- he told me when there is an air bubble in their sticker- they use a needle and just gently pop the air bubble and it will lay down the way they need it to lay down. I did try that on a transfer piece that had a small air bubble--got rid of it and it did end up sticking!! YEAH!! May be a helpful tip when we get those stubborn little air bubbles - at least it may lay back down without the bubble- hopefully preventing anything that may tear off. Hope that helps!!

You know that I am a fan. I'm trying to get to the place where I can determine a want from a need. Currently I seem to just want, want, want. Well I have cut back tremendously and now the depression keeps me home and out of the craft stores. LOL

The bees wax I use comes right from the combs. Smells wonderful. No bees are harmed:)

I love your technique of the transfer! it's going to be a challenge when I try this. but the wax method and podge is unique. that wooden background loves it too. when I look at this masterpiece I see a mystical side of this picture art. it just keeps getting more exciting all the time.

Wonderful technique! I've been watching a lot of encaustic videos and they do bang on about not layering beeswax and acrylic/PVA (paint, glue, etc.). If this works with the Mod Podge without peeling apart, you've really got something here! I ADORE how the translucency of the beeswax softens the image so slightly, giving everything a dream-like quality. It perfectly enhances your images.

Very cool. I was intrigued that the top image stuck so well to the bottom image even though you’d already given it a layer of wax. I would have thought that the wax would have been a barrier to the adhesion. Obviously not.

Mod Podge really is some kind of miracle substance.

those packs of gel stuff make for great pellets in shaker cards if you use re-inker to colour them :)

I dont havebeeswax but could you do the same with just mod podge?

I think I could use my Hake brush and paint the wax on, I will try that and see if I can control it better than dipping. Is there a reason you would rather dip it? I drip paper photos, etc but they often have uneven thicknesses of the wax, which is ok but sometimes makes my photos look blurrier in spots. Of course, sometimes that can be really interesting. I love using wax. I loved the baby dress project. I sure learned a lot about wax on that one!😋 This is a very interesting project with the two figures layered on top of each other....I love it❤️

LorriMarie, please some help! Using a Dollie or three I mod podged them onto a book page and then transferred an image onto the page, very similar to what you have done here. Can I use beeswax and thinly spread it over my image?

What printer was used for each photo print?

Do you know what causes the ink jet items to turn green? Is it sunlight exposure? I've had great results so far, printing mostly on tissue, and few problems with mod podge smearing anything. Most of those items are just over a year old. (You'll get to see some in person soon, as I am plotting a package for you! ;) ) I have used several Krylon spray products to seal layers on certain projects and several of them are UV protectants. Just wondering if it's a mod podge reaction. I'll await your reply .... thinking that another part of my process might be what has kept my images good ...... so far!
