Thanks for all of your comments, they are greatly appreciated. All of the Mossbergs have been collected over a 2 to 3 year period expect for the model 42mb which was my father's gun which I inherited. Most of the guns were not in the best of conditions when I first got them. Many were missing parts, mostly the sights. I have been able to find some of these parts on Ebay or from Havlin sales in Festus, MO. They have a lot of parts for Mossbergs and knowledge on vintage Mossbergs. Thanks again. Capthal

You have a 152 which had a rear sight. The 152k had the sight which is in this video. The rifles are the same except for the sights. The rifle you have would I believe to be a better shooting model. It might be a little older. That model came out about 2 years before the 152k. Fun to shoot.

I'm a little confused. You said that you have a 151, but this video is for 152k. The 2 rifles are completely different. If you ment you have a 152, and did this model come out before the 152k. The answer is yes. The only difference between the two is the "k" has open blade sights while the 152 has a rear peep sight. Also if your gun has a folding front forearm that is wood then your gun was made in 1954 or earlier. All guns made after 1954 had a black plastic forearm. I can't tell you a value, but if you paid only $50 you did great, assuming it functions correctly. I can tell you I paid more for the one I own. I hope this helps. Just bought a 151k happy to pay 150$ so 50 is great...but money is worthless buy land and ammo

I'm not sure what you have without seeing a picture. The 151k has the magazine in the butt of the rifle that holds up to 15 shots. 152k has a clip that holds 7 shots and fits in the underside of the rifle. Both are semi automatic. As for a replacement stock, you might find something on ebay or gunbroker.com. also check with Havlin gun sales on the internet. The black plastic stock were gun maded after 1954. Orginally they were all wood, but after 1954 mossberg changed over to plastic stock. Not sure why, maybe cost or it might they had problems with breaking of wooden stock. Not sure.

I'm not sure. You could check some web sites like gunbroker.com. some of the older mossberg have gone up in price. A few years ago some these mossberg could be picked up for 1 to 2 hundred dollars. But now I see them around 400 or more. Many of the mossbergs I have, I paid in the 1 to 2 hundred range, but I would consider less then 400. And the 42mb military rifle no less then 600, but I would ask much more. Guns are like anything, just how much a buyer really wants it. Good luck. Capt Hal
