In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Silent. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...

Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

I have a fond memory of a bandage + phantasmal + storm of steel (and probably some accro or a wristband) run. Storm of steel would easily be a 50+ damage card on turn 2.

I had a run a few weeks ago where scrap ooze gave me dead branch, so I picked stuff like shiv cards and endless agony in act 1. Some of my favorite stats from that run: - I took no damage on ANY act 2 floor except cursed tome and the boss - I got meat on the bone partway through act 3, and I'm pretty sure it didn't heal me a single time - I perfected spear and shield without even losing my fossilized helix buffer - I skipped a wraith form in the act 4 shop, then generated 7 wraith forms during the heart fight I've only gotten a few A20 heart kills, but that was by far the easiest one I've had up to this point.

You should include in the title which run of the streak this is - it's not clear this is the start of the streak. Something like "1-0"

I friggin' love Shiv decks like this. When you have over 30 cards and can hit the same card three times in a turn, you're golden.

Holy crap some of those single phase elite fights…such a good deck with the relics and awesome gameplay. Just getting into the game and it blows my mind how effortless some of these runs appear.

If you had taken prepared on floor 31 you could’ve gotten the collector bonus going into the collector fight. Just saying…. Someone pointed it out in chat too haha

Couple of hours ago I've defeated for the first time the heart with a crazy all for one claw beam cell go for the eyes deck. Just saying thank you for the tutorial along with all the videos you release. They're all great and really enjoy watching them at the end of my day

Ah it hurt to see souvenir passed over for keeping that strength, however unnecessary. These kind of decks always leave me feeling greedy though, more accuracy, a wristblade, and with skull an envenom. MOAR!!!!

Now would taking Jax be a good way to scale with the toxic egg auto upgrade?

Jax is fine, but it takes up a card and costs hp. It's not usually the take, even when upgraded. I personally would probably only take it with Ironclad, and that's with the caveats of having reaper and no other strength scaling. Or maybe with bites, but bites are also not usually worth it.

Discarding shivs is usually bad in the long term, because then you have to redraw individual shivs instead of your real cards.

Jorbs had it for about a week or so at 17-0 and then Baalor surpassed him and ended up at 20-0.

I think the answer is both. Baalorlord just lost after a 20-run streak setting a new WR. Jorbs just lost after a 17-run streak. Considering the RNG, they're both so close to each other it's hard to differentiate. I firmly believe one of them (or one of a few other people) will beat that number before 2022 ends. Personally I'd rate Jorbs *slightly* better in raw play skill because of the way he minmaxes his own behavior by researching every "maybe" decision. But for the same reason, I rate Baalorlord as much more fun to watch.
