What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

Yes, it may be embarrassing. But you need to understand the context. Many kids are made victims of "disciplinary" violence everyday. The water spray is a very useful tool in the fight against the atrocity that is "Corporal Punishment". Take the context into account. The point of the water spray is to save kids from violence.

You outright admit it is violence yet remain blissfully unaware of the notorious physical abuse associated with “physically disciplining your child”(physically abusing your child). Stop spreading this horrible belief around. Spraying your child in the face isn’t a kind method of punishment, it’s humiliating for a kid and can, indeed, hurt their eyes. Stop it.

Slapping i'm sure was more effective though, and besides that i'm sure it embarassed you, maybe you shouodn't have done what you did to be slapped. I know when I was little I cursed at my mom and she smacked my mouth and I never did it again till I was older.

I tried this once with my kids when they were fighting just to see how they'd react. They LOVED it and followed me around for 10 minutes begging me to spray them more. So I filled up 2 bottles and let them spray each other outside. At least they stopped fighting lol

I wouldn’t say that leashing a kid is supposed to be humiliating. My parents used to have me on a leash cause i was a runner. Even ran away in an airport as a 2 year old so a leash can be a great safety measure for kids like that

Seriously, enough with the "Water Spray is Abuse" bulshit. Kids all over the USA get "disciplined" bare-bottom with belts, paddles, rods and open hands. Everytime you complain about the water spray, you are denying a kid the chance to be saved from "disciplinary" violence. Think before you speak.

I like the leash idea. You never know when someone might try to snatch your kids or when they will wonder off. Have you seen those videos of people taking kids right in front of everyone in broad daylight?? I can understand be against the water spray though. I think it is harmless but there are other ways of getting kids to listen besides doing something embarrassing.

I was throwing away a lot of stuff when cleaning out my garage (broken toys, ripped/old clothing, stuff unable to be donated) & I caught my mom going through my dumpster multiple times. I kept telling her to stop, she kept doing it. I finally had it with her so I got my spray bottle, filled it with water, & got her by surprise & I told her “I told you to stay out of the garbage” 🤣 we both died laughing & I told her that’s what people do to cats/dogs when the don’t listen lmfao

It's not about the fact that it's "just water", it's degrading and embarrassing for these children and their developing mind. It's not about the fact that their punishment could be worse, it should be about how the mom can better educate and discipline her kids rather than spray them in public.

It's an old school way of thinking that children are less than adults and should always be discipline when they don't listen. I always respect my children like another other human being. Whenever we have an issue we just talk about it and it always resolves the problem. No yelling, no spraying with water no bullshit. Treat your kids like humans.

No. So no, you don't need a child leash. They're made for toddlers and young children who tend to wander off, so parents use those on them for their childs safety.
